I know this may seem like a ludicrous thing to say about a player who has just missed out on a third Golden Boot but I wonder is it time to cash in on Mo Salah?

His ball retention is dreadful.
Gets himself into good positions but not a natural finisher.
Does nothing for the rest of the team.
Poor decision making.

I’m sure most will disagree but worth a discussion I think.

How funny it is?
Mo Salah did nothing for the rest of team?

Look at the big chances created for teammates for these 3 years.

18/19 - ranked first with 16 big chances created (higher than Bobby and Mane)
19/20 - ranked third with 13 big chances created (higher than Bobby and Mane)
20/21 - ranked second with 12 big chances created (higher than Bobby and Mane)

So, are you saying that Mo Salah did nothing for his teammates even though he keeps creating chances for them? Are you joking?
Besides, Mo is good in hold up play and he always can drag the attentions of the defenders. That's really can help teammates a lot.

And poor decision makings? Come on, he scored the most goals for us for 4 consecutive seasons and at the same time his chances creation is one of the best of the team and you said that he is poor in decision makings?
If that is the case, I wish the whole team is poor in decision making.

This season is a shxt and we all know that.
Mo is one of a few players that stands out and maintain a solid performance throughout the season. He is arguably one of the best players in 20/21 and I can't even imagine what our season would be without him. And you suggested that we should sell him now?

Are we suggesting we should keep selling our best players of the team and cash in ?

Mo Salah is our best goal scorer, he has proved that over the last 4 seasons since he joined us by being consistently our top goal scorer, he is also the player who creates chances, sometimes it is hard to quantify as he is marked by several players, creating space for others like Mane & Bobby.

If we sell Salah we weaken the team significantly IMO, where would we have finished this season without his goals? who would have stepped in to score the missing 22 PL goals? Mane or Bobby were poor for long spells, Origi showed no signs of filling in? Jota is a good player but I do no think he will deliver the consistency Salah has.

There is an argument Salah is at his peak and generally it maybe downhill from here, but he still looks a great player scoring goals consistently, he is not just about pace, he has skill and get's goals from nowhere when we are playing poorly.

If we get a huge bid like £100+ million, I think it is worth selling at his age, then you can try and replace him with someone up and coming like a Sancho etc, but it will not be easy to get someone who will deliver the goals he has given us so regularly. I doubt we will get a huge bid for Salah, unless PSG sell Mbappe etc, so then they may come in for Salah as a replacement, Kane looks like he will move also, so there could be a chain reaction of sell/buy to replace players.

I will not be disappointed if we start next season with Sala upfront for us.

I would say it will depend on how much money we will get and who we will be able to buy, but cannot think of someone better available in his position, unless it's Mbappe. Heard a lot about Eliott but surely too early.

Far too early for Eliott, he should be part of the squad next season and get game time/subs, reports from his loan at Blackburn are good, but far too young and inexperienced to replace Salah.

If we sell Salah, we need to bring in a top quality replacement, but guessing the likes of Mbappe/Haaland would cost allot more than we would get for Salah!!! I cannot see FSG wanting to fund that.

Why not change formation and keep Salah? he is our best striker by far.

he's not a central striker. he's a very one footed winger

our team needs change. money needs to be spent and we need a different way of playing. we will only get money to spend through player sales. if we want to buy big players, big players will have to be sold. for example i would take Grealish playing through the middle for us over Salah on the right.we dont have creativity in the midfield because our 3 midfielders have to be defensively minded. its why we now struggle against teams who sit back(which they all seem to do)deny space in behind and deny liverpools front 3.
Mane would be better suited to a central striker role alongside Jota.play 3 in defense (van dyke gomez and Kanote).5 in midfield with TTA and Robertson down the flanks maybe even have an attacking midfielder who likes to have a pop at goal from time to time which we dont do now. TTA is much more effective going forward than he is defending. and 3 at the back would allow him that space.
Salah fancies his self at one of the glamorous spanish sides so let him go and fund the new project.

Changing the style that much probably means changing manager, you will have to propose a manager who plays 352, dint remember Klopp ever playing this system
