our team needs change. money needs to be spent and we need a different way of playing. we will only get money to spend through player sales. if we want to buy big players, big players will have to be sold. for example i would take Grealish playing through the middle for us over Salah on the right.we dont have creativity in the midfield because our 3 midfielders have to be defensively minded. its why we now struggle against teams who sit back(which they all seem to do)deny space in behind and deny liverpools front 3. Mane would be better suited to a central striker role alongside Jota.play 3 in defense (van dyke gomez and Kanote).5 in midfield with TTA and Robertson down the flanks maybe even have an attacking midfielder who likes to have a pop at goal from time to time which we dont do now. TTA is much more effective going forward than he is defending. and 3 at the back would allow him that space. Salah fancies his self at one of the glamorous spanish sides so let him go and fund the new project. I dont think we need to change our ways of playing tho. The style of play and the formation works perfectly for a few seasons and you are suggesting that we need to change our ways of playing just because one year set-back??? Are you sure abt this? The set back of this season is mainly due to (1) our CB crisis (2) Mane and Bobby dropped of form (3) Var is shxt. I dont think it is something relating to the way that we played. Last season, Man Citeh had a bad season just because one or two center back being injured. Did they change the way of play ? I think only idiots would agree to change our style of play. What we need is to reinforce our squad depth. We have to invest more in CB and may be get rid of some injury prone players. Besides, we need to get better prepare if Mane cannot get back his form next season.

Grealish over Salah is laughable. An overrated English prospect over a world class player who has been top scorer ever since he has arrived.

Agree with most of this except the VAR is shxt line, yes it's not perfect and should be improved, especially the tight offside decisions, but it's not shxt, it's there to assist refs, at the end of the day, they are the refs decision. Before VAR, a number of times offside decisions were blatantly wrong, at least now it can only be marginally wrong. I don't think they should use the perpendicular lines to be mm perfect when it's very difficult to judge when the ball is leaving the foot, IMO, they should only use their eyes to judge as everybody is doing at home, watching the snap shot.

I would add to that Vish, that feet, armpits and arms should not be where the VAR official should be concentrating on, but the chest/head only if they are using their silly crayon lines.
And it's madness to even consider selling Salah unless it's for an absolutely ridiculous fee that brings in somebody like Mbappe. Love him or loathe him his goal scoring / assist numbers are insane since he has been with us:
17/18 season = 48 goals - 14 assists 18/19 season = 29 goals - 12 assists 19/20 season = 23 goals - 12 assists 20/21 season = 33 goals - 6 assists

Those stats speak for themselves. Nobody has the money for Salah, Kane, Haaland, Mbappe this summer. I hope he gives us another season, but at some stage we will have to refresh the front three, personally I think Jota will go on to be a better finisher than Salah, but we'll see.

Oh! For the VAR is shxt line, what I mean are those bad ref decisions against us this season.

Firmino between mid-December and early May he scored only once in 23 appearances in all competitions (the opener in the 3-1 away win against Tottenham).
Let's sell Salah instead....fantastic logic.

The problem with Salah is that he is toooo one footed. Against teams that defend smart and deep (like Atletico and the Man U of recent past seasons) that is going to be a detriment as it makes us easy to play against. In the games I've watched even when he scored I was thinking how ludicrous it was that a few years ago people were comparing him to messi.
However, he is still our top goal scorer and I don't see the point in selling now as no one can afford to fork out huge transfer fees.
We need to sell Origi and possibly Firmino, and bring in a proper complete forward as well as someone two footed who can also go to the line and beat his man to cut back for the CF and others running in from deep.

I think he should develop his right foot to shoot, the number of times defenders leave his right side free is incredible, they just wait for him to move the ball on his left foot, if only he could shoot a little bit with his right foot,he will make a huge difference

Salah is still our top strikers and he netted much more than others so called two feet strikers. And he scored quite a lot of goals even against those teams sat back with deep defensive line as well. Besides, 34 out of 184 goals of Aguero were scored with left foot. It is an apprx. 18% At the same time, 12 out of 94 goals of Salah were scored with right foot. apprx. 12% I dont think the difference is so massive here.
