With all this talk about country coefficients etc surely it makes sense to consider giving the Champions League winner’s country an xtra qualifying spot?

Simple, transparent and gives an immediate reward to the country producing the most successful teams.

With what is going on over the Super League and England having had the most defectors, this won't be happening anytime soon.

UEFA have never had any love lost over English teams and the fact we are the current force in European Leagues, UEFA won't be in any hurry to be handing out anything extra to a nation they openly despise.

If an English team win a European tournament - and qualify for one through domestic football - it does not free up a European space for another English team.
