I am not suggesting the crippling injuries we have had this season to half the squad has been an overall positive, of course not.
But there have been some positives from it.
The first is what a great motivator and tactician we have as a manager, adapting to change. The second is the youngsters, the two Williams lads are good enough for the first team and yes make the odd error but otherwise don't put a foot wrong. We no longer need a backup keeper to alisson and Philips has also proved to be a capable first teamer. And even with a fully fit squad Jones is worth a place, we might have another future stephen gerrard type player in a few years.
So all in all we are not in a bad place
