I'm gonna be controversial here with selections and setup I'd like to see for Spurs because we need to bamboozle Maureen because we know he's going to setup shop for counter attacks:

Alisson

TAA, Hendo, Fabinho, Robbo

Jones, Firmino, Wij, Keita

Salah, Mane

Too big of a game for Phillips or Williams and that's why I've opted for the experience of Hendo at the back alongside Fabinho.
I've opted for a 4 man midfield to counter act Spurs Midfield giving Firmino the opportunity to be more creative / roam. I'd have both Mane and Salah switching and overlapping each other regularly and have them occupy more central positions because Maureen is expecting them to be coming in from the flanks.

Big win needed today!

Is Keita back? he missed the Fulham game as injured due to a tight muscle?

I think Rhys Williams will play if Matip is injured, he is allot more mobile and when we lose Hendo form MF we lose the tempo/control in MF, something that will be import against Spurs who will break on us, I think we will go:

Alisson

TAA, Williams, Fabinho, Robbo

Jones, Hendo, Wij

Salah, Firmino, Mane

Dominate entire first half and get the lead.... they score with their only attack. Annoying!

The fact is we got sucker punched, why chase the game and leave big spaces behind when are 1-0, should have sat off them and say come on then.

Firstly a great game to watch with 1st place at stake, thoroughly enjoyed it. The performance was very good, maybe the 2nd best performance of the season behind the Atalanta masterclass. Spurs could of scored with the Bergwyn chances of course but I am looking at our players and the passing, the breaking up of counter attacks, the running was excellent. My man of the match is Jones, the lad has in my opinion cemented his place in the side now, he has a certain swagger about him and confidence reminiscent of a seasoned pro. We need to kick on now and grab this opportunity by the throat and win games to create a bigger gap and we have winnable games coming up to do just that.

Couldn’t have picked a better time to score to rub it in Maureen’s face...what a petulant t.wat he is! I thoroughly enjoyed his moaning afterwards laugh

Hopefully we knuckle down now and kick on and open up a gap starting with trouncing Palace on Saturday lunchtime - good that Benteke will miss that game.

No doubt FSG will use the excuse we are top of the league come January and don’t need to spend.

Great game, excellent win considering all the players we were missing, Tottenham are a dangerous team and had a decent game plan to hit us on the break.

I though We were abit naïve leaving so much space behind us when we went 1-0 up, maybe we should have sat back and let Tottenham have a go and pick them off, we seemed to just play into their hands.

Rhys had a really good game, he had allot of pressure on him playing against probably the best PL strike partnership in Son & Kane, for a PL debut, that was an excellent performance.

That's an important marker we put down, Tottenham will be challenging this season, now we need to go on beat CP to put the pressure on our rivals, hopefully a few more first teamers will be back soon so we can rest a few of the current team.

I think our first half's performance is so good that no one want to change the tactics which may result in a change of momentum of the game.

We had a lead and we all knew that Spurs wants to take back the control of the game.
The team had a little gamble there to try to continue their first half game play and dominate the game to score another goal. It is unfortunate that the gamble didnt pay off and Son has scored in his first chance. (which in my view, should have been ruled out by VAR if that goal was scored by Mane/Salah.)

I wont say this is naive to continue our gameplay, especially the lead was in very early of the game, it is not easy to sit back and defend for the remaining minutes.

Besides, R.Williams played last night, I dont think we could really defend Son/Kane for the rest of our game if Spurs took control of the game and gave us a lot of pressure.
