His been banging on about the amount of games and the lack of five subs for the past month. His complaining about all the extra injuries this is causing ( rightly so). Today was a perfect time to rest and protect all of our main players from exhaustion in a dead rubber. Instead he decided to take them half way around Europe and play in a meaning less game. If he was so concerned he should have let them have a day off physically and mentally so they could come bk fresh. If salah, jota, fabinho get injuries against fulham I dont want him saying a bloody word. Wasted opportunity for a slight breather

Agree, I mean why is Fabinho playing when we only have him and Matip? The rest were ok but Komoutio should of started.

You saw how good a set up mitjyland were last night and even when we played them first time round.
Maybe he was just thinking putting a complete second string side out getting beaten 5 - 0 in the champions league against a banana skin team wouldn't have done the kids the world of good.

Was thinking this myself, they are a decent team, sending the kids to get battered would not be fair or help them, I agree about resting key players like Fab where we do not have cover, I was also worried with Mane coming on in such a cold place, hamstrings & all. The problem is you can protect players like Matip, then they get injured in training, like happened to Alisson, so there is an argument to say play them while available! Klopp has made his point now about fixtures & injuries, so I think he now needs to concentrate on getting through it, as he has used his good will up with the neutrals.

He said you need to senior players in the team. Klopp is all about bringing young players thru and if we are going to continue with that they this is how you bring them threw. If we are a club that only sees youth players as an excuse to give first team players a rest then we might as well do away with the academy.
Send out youth players to get get battered is not the way forward. Klopp knows what he is at

looks like playing jota has back fired. love klopp but this has to be the worst decision he has made It was just bad luck Jota getting injured, he hasn't overplayed, could have happened in training, like Alisson & TAA were injured. Jota has not played that much, he didn't play for Wolves after lockdown and has done a few games from the bench for us, he is also integrating Jota into our team/system, so I can understand why he played him, I was more surprised at risking Salah & Fab etc, as they have nothing to learn.

Yeah, Jota's injury was a knock wasn't it? You can't just not play people because of fear of injury, injury is part of sport unfortunately.

Yeah, I think he got a knock from a tackle, so that can happen just as easily in training, that's what put Alisson & TAA out earlier this season from training. It is probably one of the risks of Klopp's system, he has made it clear that the players that do well in training, get to play, so it is a level playing field, so you cannot hold back too much in training as a player, as it means you may not play, especially for the squad players who are trying to prove themselves to Klopp to start.
