Trump saved many, many lives with banning travel to and from China before anybody else in late Feb, even after his political opponents called him a xenophobe for doing so.

There is still some serious problems with how the science community worldwide has handled this with so much misinformation and scaremongering.

When this is allover China needs to be held accountable!

But I heard from your president that it was only a flu which was supposed to disappear months ago, didn't you know?

I think it will and should carry on. The only reason I can think of elite football having to stop is if many players and staff from clubs start circulating it around the football community. Right now they mostly seem to be keeping on top of it so I don't see why it should have to stop.

First wave everything stopped because we were dealing with something new and went a bit OTT with the regulations.

Second wave people are no longer falling for this "only go outside once a day" crap because does that really do anything? No, of course not.

I think my country Mauritius has managed the best but we have isolated ourselves from the rest of the world, anybody flying in has to isolated under strict conditions in dedicated hotels for 14 days and anybody positive is sent immediately to hospital. We have been Covid free for more than 6 months except imported cases which are being handled as I explained. However, we cannot continue indefinitely like this, our hospitality industry is severely hit and it is almost a quarter of the GDP. Lots of people especially in the hotel industry think that we are too strict but it is a tough call. It is the price to pay to have a completely normal life, but it looks it is too high a price for the economy

It's a tough choice between keeping the economy "limping" along and suppressing the spread of the virus.
Hope the folks everywhere can outlast the wait for a vaccine.
