I blame Adrian only for the first goal.

The rest was other players' sloppiness!

Adrian started it all, with his sloppy pass across goal to Gomez, instead of putting his foot through it upfield...it all went t..its up from there!

Adrian saved a 1 on 1 , most of the goals he didn't have a chance, I doubt Alisson would have done much better, we played badly as a team, 1 player is not the problem, only Wij, Robertson & Salah played anywhere near their normal game.

We were por pressing abd di not have the intensity, giving Villa too much time/space on the ball, so they could get beyond our defense line, which was so high and so much space behind.

Hopefully this is a wakeup call for the team and we can work on it, our rivals dropped points also, so it could have been worse.

I think Alisson would have saved the second and I think that once we conceded to started to try too hard to score, forgetting defence. We were not playing such a high line last season, especially the beginning, something has been changed in our tactics, we saw it against Leeds as well. And Gonez has been very sloppy

A high line can only be played if there is high press against the opposing player with the ball at his feet.

As soon as the press is out, the back line needs to drop.

That is old news, and I can't get it why our defence don't understand such trivial knowledge of the game.

They have become sloppy and think we will always outscore the opposition.

Hopefully this was the wake up call they all needed and things can start getting back to normal again after the international break.

We having been doing that high line on free kicks last year too..villa sussed it then as well. We need to stop that immediately. As carra said the playing offside thing is the problem , yeah the line is too high but we so lazy and in honesty villa probably deserved to score 10..that is bizarre

Gomez, Adrian shocking. Worst games ever for most other players too.Robbo and Salah were good, Jota not bad.

I think Klopp needs to see the attitude of our players. Without Mane we seem lost.

Most of the team played badly, but I think Villa came well prepared to play us, how to beat our highline and offside trap, that is a tactical issue that Klopp and his team need to fix, as I am sure all our opponents will be watching that and doing the same thing, Ancelotti included.

Worrying thing is all our players out out on international duty now, so we will not have much time to work on it with the squad.

In a strange way, we were worse during the Watford defeat IMO as it looked like we could play for a day and never score/create in that game, at least we created chances against Villa!

I think that game last night more than anything showed how much we miss Hendo, he would have got his foot on the ball, slowed it down and controlled the game much better, we needed some sensible game management.

That Henderson's so missed speaks volumes. I hope he tore them apart.

I hope I'm wrong but the title seems to have gone to a few players' heads. TAA being one.

Robbo one of the very few players who came out of that unscathed.
