This is an awkward game for us with injuries mounting up and trying to give senior players a rest, along with bids and interest in our fringe players / kids. The transfer window closes on Monday, Oct 5th at 11pm BST.

Rhian Brewster looks almost certain to be sold so will not feature. Marko Grujic, Harry Wilson and Yasser Larouci all have bids being considered for them. We could also see somebody come in with a bid for Origi, he's not even made an appearance from the bench for any of our 3 PL matches so far even though he's been on the bench for all 3 games. Ben Woodburn and Sepp Van De Berg have offers for loan deals and it's likely Liam Millar will go out on loan too.

With injuries to Henderson, Ox, Matip and now Tsimikas, along with Alcantara in isolation due to testing positive for the ChiCom virus, our options for this game are getting skinnier by the hour. We will have to rely on some senior players for this game even with a trip to Villa on Sunday.

It's likely Ljinders will look to give some senior players gametime due to injuries and potential sales / loans. I can't see certain fringe players being risked. The likes of Gomez, Robbo, Wij, Keita and Mane being on the bench for potentially doing a cameo role at some point.

I'd rest VvD and play Fab CB, or Klopp may go a half each for them, depends how Gomez is, he may want to rest him after being out:

Less games for the young players. We risked Virgil and Salah for nothing. Bossed the game and missed a hat-full of chances just to go out to a far inferior Arsenal side on pens.

Sounds like Shaq is going to be sold, so was not risked.

Was quite a scrappy game, not much flowing football, came down to the lottery of a penalty shootout.

Strange to risk Salah & VvD, I guess Brewster would not be risked as it looks like he is being sold.

I give Adrian a lot of stick for being crap most of the time but tonight he was my motm, his distribution wasnt great but he made 2 decisive saves in normal play and saved a penalty to set up a shootout win but our penalty takers failed him. Frustrating.
