He has big potential, so I would rather we give him a go in the first team to see if he is good enough. We won't be able to buy a decent replacement for £20 million, so what's the point? may as well give him a go as a first sub for the front 3 rather that Origi.
Fowler and Owen were special players, they also didn't have our front 3 in front of them in the team, they osten played in struggling teams not challenging for titles. Sometimes players can just emerge, look at Harry Kane, he went on loan at a few clubs and didn't do much, he got his chance and took it, most Hottentot fans didn't think he was good enough.
Are you serious? When Owen started at 17, Fowler and Collymore were at the club and then Riedle was bought a German proven international. Fowler started when Rush, Barnes and I think Aldridge were at the club. Brewster plays centre forward, and the players ahead him are Firmino and Origi, and as I said, if Klopp rates him lower than Origi, that would say that he is not Owen or Fowler material. I said Fowler and Owen were special players, Fowler came through as a regular in 1994, Rush & Barnes were still good players then but well past their best, Aldridge left in 1990, we had a pretty poor squad then under Souness and we were not going for PL titles, so the likes of Fowler & McMannaman could be given a run of games, which he did and took his chance, Fowler one of my favourite Liverpool players and as a finisher, one of our most natural ever. The point is Brewster has not been given many chances with the first team players, playing with the reserves in the cup games makes it hard to judge when he's on with Milner, Origi, Williams, Hoever etc, I would like to see him play with the likes of Mane, Salah, Henderson, Fab, Gini, TAA, Robbo etc to see if he can do it, Firmino starts if fit usually. I suspect he is a good striker, he seems very intuitive and gets on the ends of things, but I don't think he is a like for like for Firmino, who does allot of work outside the box and setting up other players like Mane & Salah, so I am not sure Brewster will fit our system long term. But for £20 million I would rather keep him and give him a go, as we could not buy anyone half decent for £20 million anyways.

He doesn't have to be as good as Owen, Fowler, Gerrard, Rooney (some of the best players in the PL ever) to be better than Origi, Origi will go down as a legend at LFC with the fans for the important goals he has scored for us, but he is not good enough to play up front for us regularly. Let us see if Brewster gets games and how good he is, that's all I'm saying we should do, give him a chance before we sell.

We should really keep him as we are short on forward options, I would also rather loan him to one of those interested clubs in the premier league and see how he does for a season instead of making a hasty decision and selling him.

I wouldn’t be loaning him to any PL clubs because we want him to improve alongside top players and seeing how he adapts to playing in Europe with a team in the CL.
When has a player we’ve had gone on loan to another PL club to comeback a better player ready to go straight into the 1st team squad?
I’d be loaning him to a club like Borussia Dortmund, we”d get to see if he has what it takes to be an important player for us in season or 2.
If he stayed with us his opportunities will be limited because he is not at the level we need at the moment. His mental attitude and confidence is also dented with that missed penalty in the Charity Shield which cost.

Amazes me no one has come in for Origi, he has scored in huge games like CL finals and Barca, you see players like Ollie Watkins goto Villa for £27.5 million and it seems crazy to me that for similar money you could get a player like Origi with huge experience and would do really well playing regularly for a team like Villa, I thought there would be a few clubs in for him, like Wolves/Leicester/Villa etc.

From what I've seen of brewster, his movement in the 18 yard box and his finishing is fantastic...other than that though for me he doesnt do enough and can go missing in games. I've always been left wanting more from him when I've seen him get a chance for us...with the exception of Salzberg. I'm just not convinced really. He doesnt suit how we play and he isnt as fast as I'd like. If someone came in for him for 20 mill I would put a buyback clause and a percentage of any sell on fees and sell.
