Lots of stories about clubs being interested in buying Brewster today.

Would you be for or against that sale?


Myself I think its very short sighted to sell him.

but it will boost the coffers for FSG and our poor American owners deserve all the money in these times of hardship.

Have heard a lot of great things on Brewster but have never been really impressed as I was for example with Owen, Gerrard, Rooney at the same age, though I haven't watched him a lot. More recently Mbappe was already a star at his age and Sancho is not far while Brewsrer has been good half a season in the Championship. In addition, if he cannot be seen better than Origi by Klopp at an age where Sancho is valued more than 100m, then maybe he is worth 20m.

There's no point selling a young player with potential if we've no-one better lined up. I wouldn't mind selling him if Klopp has someone who can potentially at least fight for a place, but so far it appears we don't have the cash for anything but £20m in, £20m out. Unless we sold Brewster and another fringe player, Wilson for example, or Klopp unearth's a gem, we might as well keep him rather than top up the Cristal at the next shareholders meeting.

I agree brewster not on same planet as owen or fowler same age

He has big potential, so I would rather we give him a go in the first team to see if he is good enough. We won't be able to buy a decent replacement for £20 million, so what's the point? may as well give him a go as a first sub for the front 3 rather that Origi.

Fowler and Owen were special players, they also didn't have our front 3 in front of them in the team, they osten played in struggling teams not challenging for titles. Sometimes players can just emerge, look at Harry Kane, he went on loan at a few clubs and didn't do much, he got his chance and took it, most Hottentot fans didn't think he was good enough.

Are you serious? When Owen started at 17, Fowler and Collymore were at the club and then Riedle was bought a German proven international. Fowler started when Rush, Barnes and I think Aldridge were at the club. Brewster plays centre forward, and the players ahead him are Firmino and Origi, and as I said, if Klopp rates him lower than Origi, that would say that he is not Owen or Fowler material.

He had looked terrible anytime he played for us. Slow poor and poor on the ball. People got to remember too that everytime Origi comes on he is usually played out on the wing out of position. Is Brewster capable of doing that?

He's definitely not ready. He might come good who knows. I'd definitely send him out on loan again if we don't sell and to a premier league club who will play him

He hasn't played much in the first team so I have only seen him on the odd occasion or in pre season and I have to say that I personally don't see what the hype is about.

He is still young and I'm not writing the lad off, I think he will make a good footballer somewhere but I just don't see it being here. I just don't really see that he has grabbed his chance like say Curtis Jones has.

Origi comparison is interesting, Origi isn't a prolific goalscorer but when looking at technical ability, pace, power, passing and experience I think Origi wins every time.

Brewster from the little I have seen from him, doesn't seem to thrive from being part of the game and chasing down opponents for the ball. He seems to be more of a poacher that wakes up when we have retained the ball and it is getting closer to a goal opportunity for us.

He is more like the opposite to Bobby more or less.

Do we want/need a player like that in our team?

Is he about as needed for us as a tall striker who likes to be on the end of crosses into the box would be?
