We are Premier league champions. World club cup champions Super Euro cup champions.
This is ALL down to Klopp.
Without Klopp we would be floundering in midtable under BR or another similar manager, or even worse Stevie Me.
Each window we are failed by FSG, we hear that we have to cut out cloth accordingly, yet that does not apply to other Premier league teams.
Look at how much our rivals spend.
We have spent pretty much zero net spend wise since klopp has been manager.
When Even Everton, Villa, Newcastle spend more you know we have worthless owners.
Thiago only 26million by all accounts yet we will not meet the asking price.
And our fans meekly accept this new reality in the same way as gullible sheep are accepting the new normal of wearing face masks.

It really winds me up no end. Each transfer window we are linked with xyz player, it becomes a saga, we hear from unofficial sources, we don't have the funds to compete with the bigger clubs.
We are the biggest club in Europe, Look at our trophies over the last few years.
We have a player who Look wants, who reached and won the CL final.
He is only 26million yet FSG refuse to fund it.
Even considering all our TV money from the past season, we have got rid of Lallana and Lovren, 10.7 million to the good and no wages being paid out.
It frustrated me no end.
Since sport returned after lockdown it is obvious our squad is missing new blood.
Look at the 80s we signed players when we were on top.
Beardsley, Barnes and Aldridge all signed together.
And then we hear rumours of 40million bids for Sarr, 70 million for Traore. And you just think not a chance in hell, FSG would not meet Werners 50million buyout clause.

Every window seems to be repeating unfortunately unless we sell a big player and there's less and less people willing to defend them.
It'll be a shame if Gini goes but I'd be happy if Thiago replaces him.
We desperately need fresh blood up front though to put pressure on the front 3. No excuse for not stumping up for someone like Sarr and he wouldn't expect to slot straight into the first 11.
It's a great time to be a fan but it'll be a real missed opportunity letting the chance of a prolonged period of dominance slip away. If Klopp pledged for 10 years I wouldn't mind so much, but as soon as he goes and the front 3 are a few years older, it'll fall apart.

Don't know where you get the idea that FSG have failed in each transfer window.... do you not remember buying Alisson and Van Dijk where we then went on to become European and League champions? Do you not remember Klopp buying Winjaldum, Chamberlain, Salah, Mane, Robertson, Matip. Keita, Fabinho, Adrian (who fair play to him played a big part in the league).... there's probably more but I guess you get my point.
Klopp has built a squad in his image and we have won things, he has bought wisely and thus haven't had to spend loads of cash, I think that's a good thing. We have won Europe and England without being a City or a Chelsea Frankenstein club.
Everton have probably spent double what we have but has that brought them any success or Newcastle?
Now to the bit where I do agree with you slightly. This window is starting to worry me, after watching the end of the season and some of our subsequent friendlies I really feel like we need a decent signing in MF to freshen things up. I think if we don't get Thiago we have had an awful window, if Gini leaves without getting Thiago it will be dreadful. Even with how well we have done recently lack of creativity and freshness in the midfield is always in the back of my mind.

The narrative that really annoys me is the one where people claim we don’t need to spend, as we managed to win everything without spending. How quickly people forget that before we bought VVD and Allison we were floundering also rans who just about scraped into top 4 on the last game of the season. The one season where we actually spent like a big club (at the expense of selling our best player) it elevated us to contenders and subsequently champions. If people think we can go back to spending like a top 4 hopeful and maintain the level we have achieved are so deep into FSG Cool aid it’s actually quite sad. It’s pathetic seeing the champions of England, Europe and the world scrounging around the bargain bin, umming and rrring about a couple of million while being easily outspent by the likes of everton and Villa. It’s all about the trophies. It’s all about the success, but why oh why would you not take the opportunity to reinforce and strengthen from a position of strength to increase our stranglehold on the league? Success begets profits. A shocking lack of ambition and foresight at worst, negligence at best. FSG’s number 1 priority is top 4. Their aim is to spend a minimum as they can to consistently achieve that. Anything more is a bonus to them. Klopp is a winner and has managed to achieve miracles in spite of this. He’s just happy to be able to keep his best players, something he hasn’t been used to from his Dortmund days. Any other top manager would have told fsg to do one and left to a club willing to back him, especially after what he’s achieved for the club.

I was in total agreement when fsg and klopp said no one is gonna spend. No one knows what's happening with corona etc.
Now, seeing west brom. Leeds. Everton and literally everyone else spend we look ridiculous.
Imagine winning the CL and PL and being told you have no money.
Absolutely embarrassing.
Thiago wants to join and we are asking for 25 mil.for players like grujic and Wilson and shaqiri just because we don't have any money
What's happened to the prize money for the last two years.

Matchday revenue totally disappeared?
But it might be time to either sell the club (if the owners are so unsure about the future) or to do what all the other clubs around Europe are doing - spend, but wisely.
Surely we have to be in a better position than at least a few other clubs, so we should at least be able to match them when it comes to making signings this summer?

The narrative that really annoys me is the one where people claim we don’t need to spend, as we managed to win everything without spending. Agree with you on that... I think if you want to be successful you have to have spend something. But we have spent money and spent it very well... OK I agree with you we haven't flashed the cash like other clubs. The flip side though is that simply just spending money for the sake of it does not mean you will be successful. Again I point to teams that have spent loads of money and don't look much better than what they were 5 years ago. The reason why FSG went for Klopp is because of his way of working. We can't compete with City and Chelsea financially and so have found a different way by building a team over a number of years, being patient and building a world class backroom staff, the whole culture of the club has massively changed in FSG/Klopps time. I'm just saying that the way we operate is different to just going out and spending money for the sake of it. Having said all that as I mentioned before I am starting to get worried for this window in particular, I think if we don't get another quality addition in midfield we have gone backwards.

But if we pick up one of the 2 big trophies again the owners will be justified. The alternative is spend £100m to £200m and not win anything and be stuck with those players that have failed.
Everton are spending millions again having spent a fair bit in the last couple of years on rubbish. Big signings like Mina, Walcott, Iwobi, Kean, Keane and they finished about 45 points behind us.
Some of these clubs are really taking a gamble on spending big and actually winning something.
Player wise they are still light years behind us.
We will win one of the big 2 this season.
