So is this another non-starter rumour - or might there be some truth to it.

Mane has to be a 100+ million player so surely any chance of such a move depends on Messi (and others) moving as well. Player exchange is a possibility but I'm not sure Dembele would be ideal as he has had problems with injuries - plus there is the rumour that he rented and wrecked Klopp's house in Dortmund. I can't see who else we would want from the Barca scrap-heap.

Klopp is also a keen admirer on Traore and Sarr - but would either of these be an upgrade on Mane?

I think one of Mane and Salah will leave rather sooner than later as FSG would prefer to sell at a premium and then invest in younger prospect as they did with Torres, Suarez and Coutinho. I think that this was the initial plan for this summer window, however, Covid made them rethink as the usual suspects Real and Barca are short of cash.

If that is the plan then I would prefer we sold Salah and buy Traore as Mane can play well on both wings having good right ond left feet

If Mane went I would want Traore, Sarr and Koulibaly with the money raised. Absolutely nothing less than that.

I would take Dembele on loan but only if he was a Klopp target. I wouldn't be helping Barcelona out in any way because I would be demanding they pay half his wages too.

Pretty sure we still have a premium placed on players that Barcelona want from us. If they came in with £160m+ and we spent the money on those 3 players I think I might just be able to take it on the chin.

Mane loves it here though. It would be unfair on the guy to move him on just to cash in on him. On his own he is simply irreplaceable for what he does for us.

It perplexes me why we need to sell to buy, seems like the only time we buy premium players like Allison and Van Dijk is when we sell a player for £100m+

We don't need to sell to buy but sometimes the right deal comes along at the right time. As it turned out we absolutely rinsed Barcelona over Coutinho. With the ages of our players we have 2 choices. Sell them at a premium and bring in 2 or 3 top players or wait for them to get to 31/32 and end up having to find money to replace them all at the same time at what will be a premium price for us to pay.

Without Alisson and VVD we would have got top 4 finishes and no more. We saw that when we went out of the CL. I honestly believe we could have had that trophy again this season.

We need to keep Mane at all costs,fukk Barca.

And surely it would be a backward step for Mane going to an inferior club in crisis.

Of course we need to sell to buy. Do you think we would have bought VVD and Alisson if we hadn't sold Coutinho? No way
