We need to strengthen in key areas otherwise we will fall away once players get injured. We need a deputy goalkeeper who can actually save shots straight at him, we need a left back to cover Robbo and a forward that can cover front 3. We may also need a cb if money is available.

We will challenge regardless of signings but I'm not sure we can retain with the same crop of players. I think Chelsea and Utd will challenge us and City, I can see those clubs already improving slowly.

It's reasonable to expect us to be favourites again but I don't think it will be that comfortable. Probably single digit point difference between 1st and 2nd place next season.

- Chelsea are strengthening and have funds saved from last season's ban. They can buy freely now that coronavirus has wrecked the market and player prices tanked

- United after signing Bruno Fernandes, is on the highest trajectory in terms of improvement, and if they get a couple of signings in, will be extremely strong

- not sure about City, they will need legs in defence as excluding Laporte their CBs arent great

I think as long as our focus is on BPL we have a decent chance, but if we want to compete in CL as well then we need reinforcements in attacking midfield positions and a striker to break down the Atletico type teams.

It's folly to underestimate City, they will be our greatest challenge again next season. Both Liverpool and City are some way ahead of the rest and that's simply because they are Managed/Coached by the current 2 best Managers/Coaches on the planet.

No disrespect to Brenda, Lampard, Arteta or Ole but until Pep and Klopp move on to another league this will be a constant.
Mourinho's brand of football is now dated and unless he reinvents himself (which his Ego won't let him) then he will fade away, along with Spurs.

The only real potential rival to Klopp and Pep would be if Pochettino pops up somewhere with an established side like United. However I still believe Pep may be on his way from City and Poch will land the City job...there's definitely a reason Poch hasn't gone elsewhere, he's been out of a job for over 7 months now.

It's a lot about managers but it's not everything. We were very lucky that none of our main players got injured long term, unlike City who lost Laporte, De Bruyne, Aguero who were out for long periods. Alisson out put us out of the CL and missing Salah against United and Everton made us lose points. So, for me a lot depends on our squad, especially if the CAF is played in Jan as it stands currently.

Don't forget Alisson missed about 7 games at the start of the season. The squad is getting stronger. It is about how we adapt to injuries to key players.

This is where the coaching comes in and the mental strength the team has.

If all the other teams get stronger then that is good. They will all be beating each other and taking points off each other. We just have to look after ourselves and hit that 90 points.

Part of Poch pay off deal was that he couldn't get a join another club before June, or they had to pay Tottenham £12 million, so now he can join anyone I think.

I'd like him at Liverpool, he has improved over the last 2 seasons and now has an end product, but he would cost huge money, Wolves do not need the money.

a new LB to compete/support Robbo should be a priority along with a CB. follow that with support for the front 3.
our midfield should be able to tank another season if funds are not available to bring in someone better.

How is the squad getting stronger, who would replace VVD or Salah if they are on a long term injury?
