"Fernando Torres' agent has denied making the comments published in the English press on Monday regarding the striker's future at Liverpool.

Agent Jose Antonio Martin reportedly refused to commit the Spain forward's long-term future to Anfield and indicated he could move to another Premier League club.

But Martin insists he did not make the remarks and is adamant 26-year-old Torres, who is contracted at Liverpool until 2013, will remain with the Reds.

"For many months I have not spoken to the England press because their quotes are totally false," said Martin.

"Now is not the moment to speak about this issue because Torres is focused completely on his work for Spain.

"After the World Cup (player-agency company) Bahia Internacional will possibly meet with the player but the truth is that Fernando has signed a deal with Liverpool which is for the present and the future."

It was also rumoured that Torres was set for a make-or-break meeting with Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson in the coming days to discuss his future, but Bahia Internacional sources have dismissed this claim as "simple speculation"."

Well well well...what a surprise the quotes are false. And Torres' agent says:-

"For many months I have not spoken to the England press because their quotes are totally false," said Martin

Maybe we should all take stock of what he says...maybe the Daily Mail should back track on their made up story from today now...bet they won't!

Doesnt surprise me at all. Typical British newspapers who are biased towards London & manchester clubs. I think its high time that one of these papers got sued for publishing false information and we will no longer have all this crap printed in the future.

just read this on footy365 too, not the most reliable source but if its on sky then it pretty accurate.

Its just rubish. Claim then counter claim. Who the hell is telling the truth? Its getting beyond a joke.

Look I think with all the mediua crap being thrown around, we should all agree to belive when they have either left or for the new players to have signed on the dotted line.

This was always going to happen. I don't know who to believe either, but the media does this for hype, and for people like us to be talking about it. So tomorrow we go out and buy the newspapers "to find out what is really happening" and "What the truth really is". We will only really find out when Nando comes back from the World Cup and has a good old chin wag with Roy. It's all fun and games....

torres has stated that roy was a good choice and now his agent denied the exit talks so i think everybody should calm down and wait until the wc is over. you never know in football but my feeling is torres will stay for another season at least...
