If football is not allowed behind closed doors, I think it will be the same in UK, cant see any mass gathering this calendar year
Not a chance I can't see mass gatherings for 12 months at least we will have to adapt to new norm
Governments will be wary to go their own path, if they allow sport (even behind closed doors which will probably need around 300-500 staff from various backgrounds I have seen reported) and it go's wrong and they get another outbreak they will be blamed.
France has set a precedent saying no sports gatherings, so I can see more countries/governments following.
The top FIFA doctor yesterday advised to prepare for football next season, as he does not think this season will be resumed.
I see what you are saying but 300-500 is nothing if it is controlled which it can be. Look at the big supermarkets in every town. I bet the big ones have 300 staff working in them then you add 200 customers in top of that even with social distancing. All that in an enclosed environment. Not like a football stadium at all.
I feel that what happens in Germany will determine what happens here. They are close to going back to training and restarting their season.
As we are not compulsory quarantining anyone coming into the country surely a move to play behind closed doors comes at far less risk.
If the Germans succeed in starting up I believe we will follow 3 or 4 weeks later. If they do not start up by the UEFA deadline to state intentions of 25th May then I feel we may be looking to close our season down. Not saying that it would all be void because promotion and relegation issues should be resolved somehow.
Because we are so far clear only a fool would deprive us of what we deserve. We cannot start up another season with Man City being deemed as defending champions. What a joke that would be.
