Call me a boring traditionalist but with some names moving on I would love to see some first team players reassigned squad no's:

No 2: Surely Clyne is gone this summer. TAA or Gomez should take the no 2.

No6: Lovren will probably go too. Should Fabhino switch no's for the shrirt traditionally worn by the holding midfielder.

No7: Iconic Liverpool shirt worn by Keegan, King Kenny and Suarez. Does not seem right on Milner. Surely if Timo Warner comes in he would be more appropriate.

I know most of u guys don't give a toss who wears what no but given how bored we all are maybe there's a discussion there?

Milner deserves any shirt number he wants...hell I'd forgo a shirt number for him and have his marked "MVP"!

Some players would get the hump at having to change shirt numbers because they can be a very superstitious bunch.

Once upon a time I guess it signified importance to a team, but those days have long gone and besides why place importance on an number to such fickle creatures as professional football players?

I agree it would be tidier all right Barton, but the only number I really give a toss about right now is number 19.... It's hanging in the wind, or if you like, on the wings of a sneaky, malignant, predator, bloody virus!

though to be honest if I had to choose between the title and a human life I'd choose the human life every time.
