TBH there shouldn't be any issue currently with player recruitment.
Just follow these simple rules:
UNOBTAINABLE
Messi Ronaldo Neymar Mbappe
EVERY OTHER PLAYER
Fair game
FSG can't pull the "no money card" after the current success and lack of recruitment/spending in this seasons transfer windows.
Apart from adding Sancho to the unobtainable list, I totally agree.

Sancho should be obtainable even for 100m. I doubt his wages would be in the same bracket as previous said players. However I'm rather lukewarm at the prospect of going after Sancho anyhow, I don't think he has the right temperament for being a Klopp type of player.

I didn't just mean a player of his calibre, I meant in the full context of price tag, budget, development etc as above.
It's also a huge gamble. With £250m Klopp could have us dominate for a decade. With one player who knows what'll happen, maybe his knee goes first game or he doesn't settle/suit JK. Unlikely but also a lot of managers get a kick out of improving players and not buying trophies. Klopp's like the anti-Jose. How much sweeter is this season beating City's oil money into submission. In fairness, your only argument for Klopp not wanting Mbappe is his price tag, which is an issue for FSG, not Klopp. Ok if his buyout was £10m only to LFC, Klopp would be in for him. The price tag is klopp's issue as well. If he were given £250m I think he'd prefer 4-5 top players than 1 Mbappe. £250m for one player is an issue for pretty much every owner out there. Considering we've walked the league after spending nothing last summer, I'm a reasonable man and would settle for £100m + sales.

Dont think FSG will spend that kind of money especially with much less income this season as we were kicked out of CL early. We will not spend more than 50m net.

As last night proved, it doesn't matter how much you spend on a player. Spending big doesn't guarantee they'll play in the games you'll need them in.

Sure but what if we had spent a bit to get a keeper who is better than Adrien who didnt even have a club for months before coming to us, what if we had a better replacement than Origi in the away game. Should we just stop buying top players then?

I think I've made it perfectly clear on where I stand on our need to buy in quality. As far as Adrien goes, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's wondering where his from from the beginning of the season has gone just as much as I'm not the only one who thought he'd find it again for last nights game.

To be honest all GKs make mistake, City lost to Manure on Sunday mainly because of Anderson, so this can happen. I think we were kicked out because we had a bad first game in Madrid and we didnt get it all perfect at Anfield. A Salah of his first season would have scored at least one, Mane could have been much better and then of course there was Oblak to be added to Adrian's mistake

I thought we did very well away to Athletico. Only a scabby (and a do mean a scabby) goal separated us.
Considering that we were away, had a useless ref to contend with, protecting yellow cards, no Mane for half the game and no Hendo for quarter of it, bringing back a 1 goal deficit was a good result.
