A rest? Even if they dont play the FA cup they would play 3 games over 12 days, that's pretty decent

Take Ox and Lovren out, bring Lallana and Matip in and keep the rest and let's go to the next round. Since we lost today, just win the league and rest players and play kids for the dead fixtures to keep them fresh for the cups.

Lallana? He was useless one shot at goal which hit the post, and nothing else worthy of note. Surely it has to be Matip and Keita. Those complaining about Henderson might be thinking otherwise now? We were over ran in midfield and I'd rather have three at the back than have Lovern ever again.
What was that we watched yesterday? It looked like some sort of metamorphism, a transcendent type of transubstantation, Watford becoming Liverpool, Liverpool becoming Watford right there in front of our eyes! Amazing! Never saw such a flat side trying to play football in all my years watching a myriad of attempts! Despite all his ability and genius Klopp carries the can for a side that obviously didn't know or hadn't read the script. Let's hope it's a once off.

Keita was missing from the squad vs Watford so he is injured again so leaves only Lallana. Henderson, Milner, Keita, Shaqiri all injured hence why we had 2 youngsters on the bench.

Exactly, being knocked out from 2 competitions within a week is more concerning at this stage. They just had a break, some longer than others because of injury, they can clock those extra miles no problem as we saw in the hectic period. This season has been amazing but we have the ability to win a double or treble to make it extra special, please don't throw it away by playing a reserve side Klopp.

It's not about being tired but rather the risk of being injured. Wouldn't like VVD to get injured in the FA cup game for example.

Was sitting there watching the Watford game on Sunday evening, and before we made our first sub I thought the best possible way for Klopp to change the game would be to put Fab next to VvD as a centre back, and get an extra midfilder on instead of the useless Lovren.

Don't know how many headers that man lost in the game. Has anyone else noticed that he always loses all headers? He then gets frustrated and starts pulling the opposition player's arms to get a header won. Costs us freekicks and leads to goals conceded.

Anyway: Klopp never made that sub. He opted for Lallana (Gini off) in the 61:st, Origi (Ox off) in the 65:th and Minamino (Firmino off) in the 79:th minute.

Our remaining unused subs were Adrián, Curtis Jones, Hoever and Matip.

If Klopp didn't see Lovren struggle the way he did, then I wonder if he was even awake that evening (Klopp, that is - Lovren was clearly not awake mind you). Klopp had 2 ways to try and turn the game quite early: 1) Sub Lovren off for Matip. 2) Sub Lovren off for a midfielder of free choice. Neither of those options materialised. Strange imo!

Tomorrow we just have to get a win to get back on track.

Please don't let Lovren play!

But if you were to follow this thinking, then none of our primary players should have played in the Watford game or any other PL game while we have such a dominating lead.

For what it's worth, I don't think Lampard will come at us full strength, for much the same reasons as for us except they're chasing Top4. That being the case, just got for it with some exceptions...

I know it hurts but Klopp's substitutions were not to turn a game around that we didn't need to win.

As little as I cared about the FA Cup at the start of the season, it'd be nice not just to win it but make a statement and put in a really convincing performance.

Some very poor performances and 2 defeats in 3 games, so we don't want the opposition to think we're going to start crumbling. I'm sure we're too far ahead to lose the league but we need to face Athletico next week with renewed confidence.
