Players like (i've listed the significant buys, they range from just over £10million to £65million from 2013 onwards):

Fernandinho
Stevan Jovetic
Álvaro Negredo
Jesús Navas
Eliaquim Mangala
Wilfried Bony
Kevin De Bruyne
Raheem Sterling
Nicolás Otamendi
Fabian Delph
John Stones
Leroy Sané
Gabriel Jesus
Ilkay Gündogan
Claudio Bravo
Nolito
Aymeric Laporte
Benjamin Mendy
Kyle Walker
Bernardo Silva
Ederson
Danilo
Douglas Luiz
Riyad Mahrez
Rodri
João Cancelo

Quite a list, this go's back to 2013/14 season when City are accused of misreporting income/sponsorship from the Der SPiegel emails, FFP came in 2011, interesting article here:

Cant see who was world class before he came to City in that list except probably Mahrez who had won player of the year once, who else?

Doesn't look like they managed to buy their way out with the UEFA, did they?

They have an appeal to go through so we’ll see.

The point is though that UEFA (and the EPL) won’t do too much to harm their income. Banning City for a few seasons doesn’t hit UEFA in the pocket too hard. Any harsher punishments like relegations etc. from the EPL (if indeed that were a possibility) would so won’t happen.

I'd say quite a few were world class or on the verge of it, which was reflected in their transfer fee/wages, quite allot dropped down in quality when at City:

Kevin De Bruyne
Raheem Sterling
Aymeric Laporte
Benjamin Mendy
Kyle Walker
Bernardo Silva
Mahrez

I'd also add to that Pep, Pellegrini & Mancini who were brought in/paid using that money.

Probably two world class players then.

Some of the defensive signings have disappointed.

None of them were already world class when they came to City, only Mahrez had won the player of the year once. In fact they were not spending record fees on particular players but built a squad quickly, ie, spending on a lot of players

If the 2 year CL ban stands than at the very least Man City need to be relegated, and if football league rules are followed then that means League 2.

The FA haven’t the balls though welshie. They’ll do nothing even if City’s Nan is upheld.

According to UEFA FFP rules clubs need to break even whereas EPL clubs are allowed to make 105m loss per season but financed through shareholders funds. We were making losses as well a few years back

On another note, is this where you're from Welshie?

An unfortunately shaped Storm Dennis weather map raised a few eyebrows this afternoon
