Is there a danger it could affect our form, rhythm etc?

We will find out, that was my concern, whenever we have extended breaks without playing we always seem to lose form and struggle to get back in the groove, but Klopp and the medical team know what the players need, so if they decide to rest them and give them a holiday, I trust that decision.

Worse case we play the U23's and win the PL with them, imagine how much that would p*ss of City, Everton & Utd fans !

Yes... they probably adjusted their training this season to factor in the winter break. Hence perhaps why Klopp was adamant that they would stick to it.

The international breaks haven’t effected us at all this season so not sure why this would?

I don't think a lot of players rested during the international break whereas this time they will but I don't think this should be a problem. It's true though that our performance went down when we returned from Dubai last time, but even if we have a similar situation, this time we have a 22 pts cushion. At least our injured players like Mane and Milner will be back which can only be positive.

Yeah it was the little holidays or warm weather training that had an effect so it might then? At least they’ll be no injuries from pointless international friendlies.

They will still be training lightly to keep their fitness up. Trainers are being sent out with little groups who travel to the same area.

This is a mental break rather than an actual break.

Some of these players (mane) haven't had any time off at all.

Pre season friendlies are now exhibition games for sponsors and the big names need to play.

The summer holidays are shorter than ever as there is always an international tournament so I think this is mostly for them to have some time away from football and shiiiite weather to spend some time with families.
