THE Treble is the FA Cup, League, and CL. A Treble just isn't as big. City's domestic Treble last year or our Cup Treble in 2001 will never be seen in the same way as United's in 99, and rightly so.

I think the kids will get through Shrewsbury at Anfield, and I think after that, Klopp will prioritize the FA Cup more. I will be disappointed if they lose this week though, because this sort of opportunity doesn't come around that often.

It would be nice to win The FA Cup but it's meaning is far different to when Utd won it in 99 along with PL & CL.
I'd put it that our achievement if we were to win the PL and retain the CL to go along with the Super Cup and World Club Cup has far more relevance in today's football. The FA Cup has far less meaning now standing on a par with The League Cup.

I don't necessarily disagree. But I want this side to go down as the best ever, which it deserves. Going invincible, beating City's points total, and winning the treble would be inarguable.

If we don't there will always be some that will say, "but United won the Treble."

Not enough to really take the shine off it, don't get me wrong, but I would love to see these lads do it.

Don't think Klopp will play his first team in the FA cup until probably the semis unless we are out of the CL,

Thanks guys for explaining it to me. So if we would be playing next weekend we would have used some of the senior players tomorrow i guess.

I think he would play a relatively strong team against Chelsea in the 5th round, as we have almost a fully fit squad now.

Don't think he'll play our first team with the standard back 5 and 3 attackers even if they are all fit

Probably some squad players/needing fitness like Jones/Keita/Lovren etc , the idea was to give a weekend off with no midweek games for all PL teams/players, so a 2 week gap really, so Everton play the 8th, then they play the 24th, so it's 2 week gap.

We next play 15th, so our 2 week break started the 1st after Southampton, so I think that's why Klopp has said he wants the full 2 week break for the first team squad and not play on the 4th which would reduce it. it's not just the FA Cup game, the players have to train for the days before to prepare, then they will have warm down sessions, so it does cut down a 2 week break down to about 9 days.

No not me either.

Think it would be Adrián, Williams, Matip, Lovren, Larouci, Lallana, Keita, Jones, Elliott, Origi and Minamino.

Senior squad players almost all of them, but no starting XI staff.
