Wonder what players like him and Phil think looking on and knowing what they could've been a part of.

True about the fee. Juventus going to pocket £25m on a player they paid nothing for 18 months ago. Although they are now missing out the balance of the team would not be as good as it is now if either had stayed. Whilst they both have their merits we probably wouldn't be where we are now with either of them still here.

Going to Dortmund is a lot better than going to Sunderland.... not quite the same situation.

Probably easier to understand people from Dortmund than from Sunderland to be honest.

Certainly strengthens our hand going forward though. Will be difficult to pry players away, as we have what seems to be a tight-knit group, a manager they would die to play for, money to pay them, trophies, challenging on all fronts, amazing fans, and consistently one of the best teams in Europe.

Hard to walk away from all of that, especially if you see the like of Coutinho and Can at traditional European powerhouses, failing to recapture their best Liverpool form. Coutinho especially had the world at his feet before his Barca move. The grass doesn't look greener anymore.

Yes I agree. We could probably get anyone we want because players are saying they would like to play for Klopp. It is so hard to understand why anyone would walk away from this.

It's not just the case of a kid making a mistake... he locked himself in his room for 3 days because he thought he should be in the first team. That sounds like a serious mental issue. Then he elected to go to a foreign club where he couldn't speak the language OR break into the team. He must have locked himself in for months over that!
