Can't believe all the 'we've won it already' threads. Truly moronic and embarrassing if you ask me. I'm with Klopp - nothing has been won - anything can happen. After 30 barren years and a couple of close races you'd think fans would be more sensible and keep a sense of perspective. Interestingly, the biggest culprit on Koptalk also promised us a January collapse.

Just need to take every game at a time, every game is a final. Not a fan with we're going to win the league songs etc.

For Man City to win it:

Liverpool would have to lose 6 of their remaining 16 games or lose 5 and draw 1 and have a better GD than Liverpool and City would still have to win their 15 remaining games left.

City have a potential nightmare set of fixtures before they play us playing 12 games in 42 days and then play 3 or 4 days after us on 04/04/20 (if they overcome Real Madrid) in the CL Quarter Finals 1st leg.

City still have to play:

21/02/20 Away Sheff Utd
02/02/20 Away Spurs
22/02/20 Away Leicester
07/03/20 Away Man Utd
11/03/20 Home Arsenal (Rearranged?)
01/04/20 Away Chelsea (Rearranged?)
04/04/20 Home Liverpool

All those games are no gimmes and they will drop more points.

Leicester have hit a brick wall of late and we would have to lose 7 games out of our remaining 16 games or they overcome a +13 GD deficit to us and we lose 6 games and they win all 15 of their games left.

I understand the angst, however saying folks are moronic for starting to prematurely celebrate is OTT. No matter if we didn't celebrate now and we came a cropper the haters are going to hate!

We'd have to have a monolithic fall from grace not seen since Devon Loch in The Grand National...possible but very highly unlikely because our eggs are not in all one basket. We have a strong squad now and if somebody gets injured or banned we have somebody else to fill in and know the tactics and gameplan.

But why celebrate? Cheer, be positive, be excited etc.... no problem with that.. by why celebrate when it's not done yet? It just doesn't make sense. In addition, why tempt fate? Us of all clubs should know not to celebrate too soon.

And those set of fixtures listed for City are easily winnable for them. I wouldn't bet on them dropping points in any of those games. What might make it more likely though is if they give up on the title and start prioritising the CL.

Yeah, I can see them resting key players like Aguero/Sterling/KDB around the CL games.

I don't doubt for one second the Man Utd fans where trying to wind everybody in the ground up yesterday. Our fans where nervous for those last 10 minutes and when Alisson hit that sublime pass for Salah to run on and hold up Shaw (who is a big strong lad) to then slot the ball past De Gea. It was an almighty sigh of relief and it was a natural thing to do for the fans who've been patient and have not got above themselves when they easily could have in previous games.

So when exactly is it acceptable to chant at the game or post on a forum our realization we are going to win the league?

Most fans sing "We're going to win the League or Cup or we're going to Wembley" when they are in a strong position...what makes
it unacceptable?

I'm comfortable now knowing we are going to win the league and don't mind saying or posting about it. I don't need somebody calling me a moron for doing so. This should be a celebration for us all for the rest of the season...revel in this limelight we have waited so long for.

We are Super Cup Champions
We are Champions of Europe
We are Champions of The World
We are "soon" to be Premier League Champions and I'm not afraid to celebrate this fact!

"Soon"?

16 points ahead is not soon.

I see no reason to chant explicitly that 'we're going to win the league'. It's arrogant, disrespectful, embarrassing and perhaps stupid. If and when it's won just chant 'we won the league' in celebration if need be.

Also... do we expect the players to assume we're going to win it? No... so why don't we all stick together and tow the same line. It's worked so far... why not keep it that way until the job is done?

Championship leaders West Bromwich Albion squandered the chance to go four points clear at the top as relegation-threatened Stoke City held on for victory at The Hawthorns.

Albion's third defeat of the season leaves them still just a point clear of second-placed Leeds - and only five clear of the chasing pack now, when at one time the top two looked like they were threatening to run away.

"This is no time to panic. A mini crisis yes. Hard times, yes. But we knew it was going to be no easy ride. We are still top of the league. We have to embrace the challenge and show the right character."

So you just never know... hence best not celebrate just yet!
