I see CB now as our main weak point with the injury records of our main CB's (Lovren/Matip/Gomez), it also seems widely expected Lovren will leave in the summer, so I think we will bring someone in, I've not seen enough of Nat Phillips to see if he is ready to step up to the first team.

I was impressed with Conor Coady when he played against us, he also looked good against City, he's a converted MF to CB, so he is good on the ball as well, lots of PL experience now, I think he would fit into our CB position really well having come through the academy, he is also a big red so I am guessing would love to come back and be willing to rotate, could be a good replacement for Lovren.

Nathan Aké also looks good, PL experience, fast, good on the ball, I read Chelsea have a buy back clause, so not sure if we could get him.

Lewis Dunk has also impressed me, looks like one of them all in defenders who throws everything at the ball, not as cultured as some, but a whole hearted defender, he also get's a goal, but at 28 may not fit the FSG model.

I'm not mentioning the likes of Koulibaly as he will be far too expensive and at 28 does not fit the FSG model of buying in mid 20's so they retain value, so unlikely we would buy someone like that.

Any others we could go for?

Coady has really bloomed. I was always impressed with his attitude, and I know he was heartbroken when he left us.

I agree, I was disappointed when he left, I thought he was the natural successor to Gerrard (not in ability but just to go in MF as a scouser), but I understood he had to leave to get games and prove himself as he was going to struggle to force his way into the team.

Now he has proved himself at the top level for a few seasons with Wolves, I would welcome him back, being able to play CB & CM would be a great asset for the squad, playing out from the back would be good cover for VvD.

Not seen him play but is having a very good season. 64m looks a lot for him, I think we'll look for better value and he is not that young neither. I doubt this will happen

He'll be 27 in March and has never played at any level for the Brazil National side. He might be a late bloomer but fits the exact opposite of profile Edwards and Klopp go for and at 64m?

Yeah right...Mr Agent of Diego Liverpool are interested in knowing just exactly why you are bandying our clubs name around?

I can safely say 99.99999% this is a manufactured story to garner interest in a player from other clubs!

Liverpool won't be going in for any CB's in January with Matip, Lovren and Fabinho due back from injury and us recalling Nat Phillips from Stuttgart.
