Was hoping for Lyon but oh well, we're going back to the Wanda.

It is the worse case scenario. If we go through them we are looking great.

Happy with the draw. Could’ve been easier but if you want to win it you’ve got to beat the best at some point so why not now?

As we are possibly the best team in the world at the moment (irrespective of the result of the World Club Cup this week) we should not fear anyone.

A defensive side is not ideal but should they venture out of their shell we are the best in the world at breaking forward.

No away goals rule anymore so nothing to help teams trying to keep it tight at home in the first leg.

Klopp is 10/10 in 2 legged games for Liverpool with an aggregate score of 42-18 in 20 games.

2nd worst option after real madrid. They will do their ultra defensive low block which has proven troublesome for us in the past.

We need to concentrate, be patient and bring our A game to take them down

Will be a tough game, they are a difficult team to play against, I do not think they are as strong as they were a few years ago.

Hopefully we can keep the run of wins going and maintain/extend the PL lead, we need to keep the pressure on our rivals.

The fixtures around the tie are not that bad, we play Norwich away the Saturday before the first leg and West ham at home the Saturday after, then at home to Bournemouth the Saturday before the second leg.

The fitness of the players will be key, hopefully we will keep clear of big injuries, we have got Minamino coming in January by the looks of it, so he will give extra cover to the front line, it wouldn't surprise me if we brought in another player for cover, I don't see any big signings coming in.

Yep, having a good addition in attack will be a huge positive, I think we'll need one at the back as well because we are over reliable on VVD, the other 3 don't have a good injury record and at least one of them will be sold in summer.Milner is also struggling at left back, he doesn't have the stamina and speed to play there in our system. One player who could play both left and central defender will be nice if we cannot afford 2 players.

Agreed.

Or a player who can play at either flank at fullback.

Tough draw, but I'd say they're more worried than we are. No one wants to draw us these days, plus the fact that the second leg is in Anfield is a slight advantage to us, so bring it on.
