Saving the day against United doesn't mean he did well on Saturday and despite not being a tap in, missing the target by so much is a big miss

City are also struggling for consistent form, more so than us. I think the home advantage will push us over the line. I wonder if without Kompany, Pep will come at us, or park the bus and look for the counter.

We might not like certain comparisons but Fergie's United dominated the league for many years and I can see the similarities. Teams are starting to expect us to score, whatever the time on the clock, there's an air of inevitability of it.

Mane's got so many tricks up his sleeve, he's barely got any weaknesses at all. That header was incredible and however poor he plays, his head never drops, never stops running and you feel he'll still create something out of nothing.

I'm nervous about the City game purely because our recent results against them. Just like Utd when we on paper should have took them the cleaners, City are starting to get a run on us in H2H's.
I just hope Klopp doesn't field a negative team to try and nullify City, we need to be positive and go at City especially at home. The chance to go 9 points clear of City is all the motivation needed.

Yep and going defensive last season didn’t help either. Play our natural game and if we lose then so be it. Rather that then trying to be clever and be something we’re not.

H2H overall they have had a bit of a run. In that run we have been beaten 2-1 at their place and 5-0 with 10 men plus a couple of Wembley games where they have won on penalties.

At Anfield it is different. True they could have won with a late penalty last season but their record is absolutely dire. It is something like 1 win in 22 or 23.

Since the PL started they have beaten us 9 times. 11 if you count the penalty shootouts. We have beaten them 25 times. The last time they won at Anfield was 2003.

And since that game we have won 11 and drawn 5 of the last 16 PL games at Anfield including winning 5 of the last 6. Aguero has never scored at Anfield.

Like the sign United have over us at Old Trafford we are more than a bogey team to a few other teams. Spurs at Anfield is one. Villa away is another. City at Anfield are poor.

Every game is different. Every game has the ability to throw up home win, away win, or draw. The simple fact is that City have a bit of a curse on themselves at Anfield.

We go out and play our normal home game we win. I agree with Wilkij. If we play our natural game and lose then so be it. On our current home form if that does happen you will probably have witnessed the best game this season.

Indeed!

I'm hoping we play our usual game. We're at home aswell, so no need to play extremely defensive.
