He always plays well against quality opposition, why do you think managers keep picking him. He lacks a creative touch against sides we need to break down but he's an excellent player.

Do think Roy will sell him given the choice? I think not.

Dirk is never going to be a stand out player, but will always be a standout team member.
he does the gritty jobs and does them well.

Funny this, but on Irish television Liam Brady just said "our friend Dirk Kuyt was probably man of the match! He's had a fantastic World Cup".

....note to all, the Irish panel haven't been exactly fans of Kuyt playing for Liverpool.

Correct me if im wrong, he is a striker and cleared it off the line basically? he also got an assit and play a couple of killer balls?

don't know..but i think he'l join rafa after world cup is done..nd inter comming in with an improved offer for masch and kuyt..

Think he had a good game, would have liked to have seen this much effort from an English player!

agree....but the only thing is that he is not that creative and he is getting old....

may be hodgson could get something extra out of him...
orelse should sell him to inter and use the money to rebuild the squad.

Kuyt has had an excellent world cup. Even in this game he worked his socks off,tracked back to help out defensively.In terms of sheer commitment he is great. He is not supremely talented like a Villa or Robinho but he is where he is through sheer grit.
I respect him for that and he is by far not Liverpool's worst player.

Agreed,his age and his average ability make him very saleable.
