I agree a loan move to a PL club until xmas would be a wise move for Wilson. He can finally test himself in the PL and potentially cause damage to our rivals, as well as increasing his worth.

That makes no sense whatsoever bringing Coutinho back. Barcelona want 26m for a 1 year loan fee when we can get Eriksen for somewhere in region of 40m and he is ours and don't need to give him back after 1 year!
Bringing Phil back would also not be received too well by a lot of supporters because of the way he left.

I don't understand why we have let Wilson go, if we are not buying any attacking players (as looks likely), I was expecting the likes of Wilson to get games/subs and the chance to prove themselves, seems we are weakening the squad strength letting reserve squad players leave and not bringing in quality to replace them?
I thought Klopp said last week he is either sold or stays, no loans? I am guessing no one wanted to pay the £25 million transfer fee we were asking?

Looks like Ryan Kent could be off to Leeds for £7.5 million also https://www.teamtalk.com/news/exclusive-...fter-price-dropthis transfer Window is getting odder, I didn't mind us not buying any big names as long as Klopp has seen the youth players like Wilson/Kent/Brewster/Lewis and wanted to bring them through, but if we are selling them off also, we are weakening the squad and we have allot of games this season. I wonder if we are lining up to bring a first teamer in if we are letting some of the fringe squad players leave?

We've tested him at the championship level, and he excelled, he is a first-team player, and unlikely to get regular appearances for Liverpool - at least this way, we can measure whether or not he is fit for the EPL.

If we do not buy anymore players, he was likely to get games, our MF is not very creative really, Wilson delivers goals form MF and is good at free kicks (something our current MF players do not do - Keita may do this but is still unproven for us), he's definitely worth a place on the bench, so I think he would have got appearances. He can also play from the wings, so would be useful if we lost Salah or Mane (not as good, but can do a job, similar to Origi not being as good).

As he is a left footed winger, we already have 2 better players in that position, ie, Salah and Shaq, so good to send him on loan. We need a right footed winger though as we only have Mane, unless Ox is going to be that player.

Wilson would definitely have got games.
People have mentioned the ox, he has looked no where near the player he used to be before he got injured.
Is Shaqiri really any better than Wilson? I would say they are much of a muchness, the fact Klopp hardly played Shaqiri in the 2nd half of last season factors in as well.
Wilson will excel out on loan.
Could anyone imagine Fergus sending one of his young kids out at loan to a Prem club after they had already proved themselves on loan?
Beckham went on loan to Preston and was then given the chance at Man Utd, Fergus would never have sent him on loan to Everton after he did the business at Preston, Fergus took a chance and have him games, this is what we should be doing with Wilson.
This looks to be more a case of profiteering to me.
Probably a loan fee of 8million turned the heads of FSG. And 7.5million for Kent.
