Just read this, I'm liking this guy already, you've got to admire someone with dedication.

Milan Jovanovic has confirmed he is on his way to Liverpool for pre-season training, ending speculation his move could be off.

The Serbian midfielder, who scored the winning goal for his country against Germany in the World Cup, will leave Standard Liege and join Liverpool on a three-year contract.

Jovanovic, 29, rejected claims that the departure of ex-manager Rafael Benitez for Inter had ever affected his situation.

"I am going to Liverpool," he told Nieuwsblad.

"I have signed there for three years. I repeat: no pre-agreement - a real contract. And the departure of Benítez changes nothing.

"I have maintained contact with the Executive Board of Liverpool and everything is good.

"Everything is in order since in the last two years I have played 75 per cent of the matches for my national side.

"Next I am looking for a house. On the 14th or 15th July I will join the squad for a training camp in Switzerland. But, as from Thursday, I want start my individual training programme so I can show them immediately that I am worth a place in the side."

Great news have followed him since first linked, had a spell of injury but has come back from that very very strong and looked good in the WC. Holds the ball well, very fast for a tall player and plays in varius positions.
Looking forward to see him in pre season games.

Milan Jovanovic will be a great addition to our squad. I've watched him at the World Cup, and although not spectacular, most other Serbians weren't. Ivanovic didn't look like a Chelsea player, Vidic didn't look like a Man Utd player. Jovanovic has a good turn of pace which Liverpool lack. He was Serbia's best attacking threat along with Krasic and will be able to play off Torres or play on the left-wing due to his versatility. He will also chip in with goals here and there which will be useful easing pressure of Torres.

Ryan And Liddlepool are spot on about Jovanovic.

This guy is not coming to be a squad player I assure you.

Wouldn't be surprised if he quite easily notches 6-8 Prem goals from a Left Wing support role and an equal amount of assists.

looks to be a good player for the club whether that be as a support player or as a starter out on the left for us.

I wasn't that impressed with him at the WC but did have strength and a bit of pace which should hold him good stead. At 29 he won't be here that long but until we have some cash to get someone better he is still a better option than what we currently have up front. Hopefully, if Torres stays, they can work well together and form a great partnership up front.

For a Bosman signing I think it is a great piece of business. As long as he doesn't turn out to be another Degen...

To be honest Degen isn't that bad plus he hasn't had a long enough run of game to truly judge him.
Let's just hope he doesn't turn out like Voronin (which I highly doubt).
