As said above it may only be the 2nd of July but the window closes in the first week of August with the season starting in mid August.
All of our rivals have already made moves in the transfer market, Man Utd, Arsenal after Zaha, Chelsea even in a transfer ban have signed more players for greater sums than us.
Spurs as we know never sign anyone so pointless comparing them.
We have to keep going forwards, we cannot rest on our laurels, our attack is still 1 player short.
Our midfield still lacks the gerrard type player we are crying out for.
Van Djik does not have a top class central defensive partner.
Small areas to fix which can make all the difference.
What happens if Allison gets injured? Mignolet in goal would wreck our season.
I do blame FSG, JWH thinks AOC and Lallana will make us stronger, the guy is having a laugh.
With the money we raked in from sales, CL and Prem we should be competing with our rivals in the market not being tight arses.

Klopp normally likes to get the new blood in early and it is a bit quiet at the moment, still, I trust the fella and we only need one or two.

I don't know if we will spend loads on a few players, we have made loads of money £250m tv revenue, £100+m PL finish position, thats before CL revenue, transfers out and loan fee's...
I believe FSG would back Klopp, just don't hope on Mbappe....lol.
One point I believe to be relevant regarding the date, there is the Africa nations, Euro U21's just completed - well done Spain.. Coppa america still on..
My point is normal for a player to be signed by a club for the merry go round starts with other clubs announcing their new signing...

I dont think it would be wise to sign another African player especially in the attacking position as most probably he will not be ready to start the EPL with the AFCON still on for a couple of weeks and our preseason starting soon, we will already be having the problem with our 2 forwards returning late, even Firmino won't be joining right from the beginning. We should buy a European forward soon for him to have a full preseason as Klopp usually gives them time to settle in. I don't know what Klopp is waiting for as I think money is available. City will definitely not be weaker, and no way we will win the league with our current squad. If we don't reinforce, we'll end up as usual after coming close.

Exactly and I pointed this out too on another thread where the whiners were whining. It’s only two days into the window with two major tournaments still being played and people wonder why we’ve not signed anyone! Bonkers.

The thing is that a section of our fans believe the FSG hype and PR.
FSG are awful owners basically just Hicks and Gillet with a better PR department.
We were crying out for a new stadium, look at Spurs, we had the land, instead they made the stand bigger. DUhhh.
Whenever we have spent big it's been on the back of a player leaving for big money.
Our net spend is consistently zero, apart from a few occasions.
JWH reckons we will win the title this season with AOC and Lallana back.
They sacked king kenny.
We have billions from the Prem, CL, sponsorship deals yet spend a very small percentage of it.
FSG have made our fans believe we cannot compete with the big clubs in terms of financial outlay.
Yes we won the CL but that was down to klopp, not due to FSG.
