No. I think we’re better without him.

There are much more talented and hungry footballer's than Coutinho, at a fraction of his wages. Plus we have Ox back.

Just don't think the desire would be there. He wanted to go so we gave him his wish. Pretty unfair on everyone else to grant him wish number 2 and take him back.

If we want to have a playmaker we can use Shaqiri. If we want to change up the midfield we have Keita and Ox.

I would. He's quality player and he understands our system. And he's different to what we have.

I wouldn't give him his #10 shirt back, but I would sign him, especially if we can get him for less than what he signed for.

Agree with k4k, better players out there for that kind of money/wages. Plus I think we improved noticeably when he left.

I have mixed feelings on this one. The players you mention there SSO! Don't compare with Coutinho. We never managed to replace him, and we do have an obvious need for a creative goal scoring player with similar attributes. However having admitted that much, I didn't like the manner of his going, or the way he virtually downed tools, pretending to have back problems while at the same time flying off to play for Brazil. That was a pretty barefaced insult to the club, the manager and us fans.
The problem is though; if we need a player with Coutinho's attributes, and we do imo, while being available at a cut price, would it not be cutting off our noses to spite our face, as it were, to reject the opportunity. Also what if United sign him and he gets back to his former glory? How many of us would like that most us seemingly development?

He was my favourite player because he is a little genius. The thing is we don't play that way anymore. We have arguably the best keeper in the PL. In front of him we have the best back 4 and in front of that a workaholic midfield supporting everything. The front 3 speak for themselves.

We were a better team without him and we should just not look back. We bought him cheap, we paid him well and we made our money on him when he WANTED TO LEAVE. Without him we reached two CL finals and took 97 points out of a possible 114.

The players I mentioned don't compare with him but who do you drop on a regular basis to accommodate a £80m+ player?

He served his purpose. Thank you Phil but we have moved on. Also perhaps this will serve as a lesson to the Real Madrids, Barcelonas, PSG's and teams that want to be like them. You sign these players like Coutinho, Neymar and Bale you lure them to the sun, you pay them millions and when it goes sour you want an out.

Well fukk them all! We built our squad on selling our best players for years. This is our way of doing things and we now have Big Ears back! Signing Coutinho off the back of that would be a massive step back. The Scumchester link is just a poor attempt to lure us in.

Those that have left like Coutinho, Suarez and Sterling all have titles but we have gone to the next stage without them. None of them can come back. They don't deserve us so please let us not get sucked into this.

A below par Coutinho at 27 is worth about £60m with no sell on value to be had. I would rather spend that on De Ligt and make our defence even better.
