A lot of stories going around now that we're back in for him.

How would he fit into our team? He plays as a number 10 in behind the striker, so would he play as part of our midfield 3? Something like:

---------Fabinho--------
---Fekir-------Keita----
Salah---Firmino---Mane

With Ox, Wij, Hendo and Milner as back up options?

Or would we convert to a more of a 4-2-3-1 when he plays? Or possibly use him as an option out wide on occasions to rest Salah/Mane (I've not seen much of him so not sure how adaptable he is)?

If he was our only attacking reinforcement, would that be enough? Thoughts?

This isn't gonna happen. We've seen how stubborn Klopp is.

If it was a medical thing then there is no way we would go for him again.

If it was a money/agent/personal thing then that would make it worse.

He's obviously a great player but we are a business now and we aren't gonna spend 15 mil let alone 50mil on a player who could break down at any point.

I wonder why nobody else seems interested despite the big reduction in his price. This time last year he was hot property.

Didn't we want him cheaper/negotiate a low price because of the medical results?
If the price is low, than i don't see any reason why we shouldn't go for him.

After the collapse last season the club said the deal was finished and we would not be trying to resign him.

The guy has 12 months left on his contract. It's 2 things Lyon making up stories to link him with us so that they can get the most money for him and crap click bait papers.

It's dead in the water and has been since last summer

I'd take the gamble for 15 mil.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

I don't think we need a left footed attacking midfielder as we already have 2, Salah and Shaq, so would prefer we get a right footed AM/winger who could preferably also play in the CF position

Couldn’t give a shitte what foot he is. For £15m it’s a no brainier if we can get over what happened last summer.

I'm not all together sure it's a reliable source where that £15m price tag came from for Fekir - OL journalist - Vincent Duluc?
Even at 20/25m Fekir would be a decent acquisition when you consider the prices for other similar players we've been linked to.

This transfer window we are keeping our cards close to our chest because it doesn't look like we are currently serious about anyone if you go by what is happening / being reported.
We definitely need experienced LB cover for Robbo because if he gets injured for any decent length of time our only experienced option would be Milner and he's not been lasting games too great. Also the fact Milner is not going to provide the kind of creative outlet Robbo provides.

Then we have a need for a versatile player who can play along the top line to cover if we are unfortunate enough to have Mane, Salah, Firmino injured. Origi can slot in for the odd game but I fear he won't be consistent enough if he's called upon for any length of time.

You also add in the fact it's being reported that City are going to get a ban from the CL which will have them playing far fewer games. They are going to be much fresher and focused on retaining the PL and it could be in the thoughts of Klopp and Edwards that City will be too much of a hard nut to crack in the PL, keeping our acquisitions at a minimum.
