Didn't Gerrard question his mentality in his book? unfortunately he is one of them players who needs to feel 100% to play.
He has been a good player for us, the 2013/14 season he was tremendous with Suarez, just unfortunate with injuries that took their toll, he is a class player but has lost the burst of pace/power which made him so dangerous, he is one of them who you could think, what if....
We were silly to give him such a £big long contract with his injury record, but that's not Sturridge's fault, just systematic of how bad we managed these things in the past.
I can't see us making a signing like Sturridge under Klopp, they need to be 100% and fit his pressing style, probably why the Fekir transfer fell through.
Some of his posts and press were annoying with his bling early on, he seems to have learnt and stopped that.
Good luck to him.

Yeah, Dr. Gerrard with his vast medical knowledge. Playing through the pain while on England duty is what ruined him permanently. We rushed him back so many times, and he always seemed to score right when he came back, but a body can only do so much after it's been dammaged so many times. Agger, Ings, Markus Babbel,Aurelio, Kelly, Kewel: we've had more than our share of players that have had serious injuries that plagued their careers and they never managed to stay fit. They were good players, but We had to move them on, as we did with Danny because they couldn't stay fit. But we shouldn't begrudge any of them for it. They didn't want to be injured. I love Gerrard; he's my favorite player of all time, but he chats some sh*t in his book. As a person, Sturridge has showed lots of class, particularly in this send off. I wish he could have been on the pitch more, but he's scored a lot of big goals for us and had a great strike rate. I've never seen an English striker with that combination of pace, power, dribbling skill, vision, finishing, game intelligence, and sheer audacity. Some of the goals he scored early on for us were just incredible.

I think even Fowler was better than him, and i am not even talking about Shearer

I think even Fowler was better than him, and i am not even talking about Shearer No, Shearer, Linneker, Fowler, and Rooney were all better and more successful. What I'm saying is I never saw an English player play that way, with that kind of flair or audacity. His style was almost Brazilian. Doing stepovers past keepers, the cheeky chips, ridiculous strikes, no angle finishes, he could do it all. Had he been able to stay fit for his whole career, who knows, because he had literally everything in his locker, but the best isn't determined by what ifs.

I heard he wants to stay in the PL, might be a good signing for a team like Norwich, they create allot of chances, his wages might be a problem, defo a pay as you play deal!
I expected he would goto the US league, would suit him over there and he would get goals, there would be less impact on his body in a slower league.
