Our passing at times was shocking and. A better team might have punished us for it. But spurs didn’t and we won so it doesn’t matter.

Now on to signing some reinforcements and mounting another challenge on the PL

Alisson n VVD won that pretty much for us, worth every penny if not double. That was the epitome of winning ugly and the sign of a very good team..........get in ! same time next year folks.

I will watch the whole thing again and again because although the match was poor there were little things we did that showed how much we have learned. There were moments when another team would have given us problems but you only play what's in front of you.

Like a lot of finals it was edgy, and not a great performance, and Spurs were forced to shoot from distance as we defended well, and didn't give them any gilt edged chances. That's Klopp's duck well and truly broken now, so I'd expect to see a few more trinkets on show next season. This team will grow mightly from winning this tournament. Well done Klopp and the squad. Now for our nineteenth title next season, with a couple or three top signings we'll have the measure of City, so let's go for it. Come on FSG get the cheque book out.

My favourite moment was when VvD tackled Son in the box, he was bearing down on goal and VvD did a great tackle, could easily have been a penalty and off if he got it wrong, he was really cool, Son was the player I feared.

Scoring the early goal changed the game, we didn't really need to push on, so it was more on Tottenham to push on, which they struggled to do, I think the 3 week break affected both teams.

Great win. Not how we normally play. But all that matters is that we won. Amazing and a huge relief. This team is going places. I love this manager.

Last season we played only attack while this year it was both, though less attack, so we have been able to change tactics which is great.

And last night was a tactical masterclass. Taking time with every throw in from the first minute to the last. Teams have done this to us in the past but last night we were incredible managing the time out of the game. Not once were we pressurised by the officials to hurry up because we did it from the start. From then the time we took was the norm. I don't think anyone spotted it. Could be why we gave the ball away at throw ins making sure it got into play after x amount of time had passed rather than winding up the opposition and pi$$ing the ref off.

We did the same with our corners.

We kept giving the ball away at every throw in, don't think it was tactical to give it away. We have done it in other games too, probably we try to get a big advantage by doing the difficult thing
