Origi has looked very good to me for someone who has not really played much and been asked to do a job for the team. I don't see the point in buying anyone for 20-80 mil to sit on the bench most of the time for when Firmino is out injured or getting a rest. As long as Origi is happy to play that role I am happy to have him.

Shaqiri chipped in with quite a few goals and assists this season and again if he is happy playing that role then that's good with me. I was crying for Shaqiri to get a game when we were having those draws because when he comes on you usually find Salah scoring soon after.

If I was going to go for 1 transfer this year it would be a creative mid who can score from outside the box as our players rarely do that and unlock a defence.

With Chamberlain coming back and the good season we hopefully will of had after the final I can't see much reason to talk of transfers.

But who plays if Mane is injured? And is Origi good enough to rotate with Firmino, I don't think so, he is a different type of player anyway.

This is the beauty of having goal scoring midfielders Vish. We can line up a bit differently if Mane is out. There are enough attack minded players in the squad to fill any gap.

Origi has done well and got some crucial goals, but he's not like the front 3 we have, we need someone closer to their style/quality, so we have a front 4.

There will always be 1 who's off form/injured/suspended/tired, so we need to bring someone in of equal quality to replace them, like Salah in the New Year, he was off form, it would have been better to rest him and give him a break, while bringing some on like Brandt/Zaha/Werner etc to replace him.

City do similar with Jesus/Mahrez/Sane, they have that quality ready to come on and replace Aguero/Sterling/Silva, we need similar if we are to beat them over a PL Season, you can get away with lesser quality in 1 of games, but over a season it shows.

To be fair we could bring in another left winger, then use Mane as cover for Firmino when needed. He did quite wel when deployed in the striker role this season.

I agree, the front 3 rotate allot when they play together, that's what makes them so hard to defend against, Mane has really come on, he can finish and can hold the ball from defenders, he's so strong, if we bring someone in who can play on the wings, they can give that cover.

They will not be sat on the bench all season, there are plenty of games, if we had a player like that, we may get further in the FA/League Cup!

Then we have Origi if we want to change tactics and go more direct/run the channels, that extra quality might get us the goal that turns a draw into a win next season, we are talking fine lines here.

We lost the league this year because we had Origi and Sturridge on the bench. Neither or them stepped up when Salah and Firmino were out of form.

Just look at what city have coming off the bench Sane, Jesus & Mahrez. Anytime I seen Sane coming on for City you could just tell they were going to score. If are to bridge the gap then we need a top class attacking forward.

We need 1 player this summer to complete the team. A backup full back too, but that is less important.

Did Origi not step up in the last few games of the season when Bobby was out or did I just dream that?

Origi did very well for his ability. My point is he is not good enough for what we need. If we had a Sane, Jesus & Mahrez then this season would have been a lot different. And that is what we need

Well I agree but he stepped it up when needed.

Could we have afforded more than £100m worth of players to sit in the bench? It’s easy to say if we had X or Y things would have been different.
