Not saying we’ll go for Griezmann. Just highlighting what £20m more than Zaha is ‘worth’ will get you. He’s not worth half that for me and won’t improve us apart from the fact that unlike Sturridge, for example, he may be able to play two games in a row. I get you don't like Zaha, but I think he offers abit more than you say, he can dribble, creates allot and can score a goal, whenever we play CP he's the one I fear and he seems to be their game changer who is involved in everything the do. £80 million is sill money I agree, but transfer fee's have just gone silly, as he has said he wants to leave, I think we could get him for around £60 million, we sold them Benteke & Sakho for around £60 million, so that seems fair lol

I’ve not seen anything from him, consistently, to suggest he’s worth even close to £80m or even the £60m you suggest we could get him for.
The good thing is I trust Klopp’s judgement and he’s not been wrong much in the transfer market so if he comes I’m sure he’ll do a job. It would just be very uninspiring for me at anything close to the figures above.

I doubt any of us will be correct with who Klopp brings in, who thought Mane or Salah? I just hope we bring someone in upfront with the quality to add much needed cover. Mixed messages are coming out of Anfield on our transfers this summer, but that makes sense, we don't want to be going out saying how we will spend big as the selling clubs will just hike up the prices more than they usually do.

If we got him for the sort of money we paid for Salah or Mane I’d be relatively happy with that. But anywhere close to what’s being reported is crazy.
And I wouldn’t believe any reports about what we’ll do this summer. The club/Klopp has shown the last couple of summers that they do thing quietly (with the odd exception) and like you say, they’re hardly going to announce their plans. We will improve the squad I have no doubt but it doesn’t need the sort of spending spree some will want to see.

If Palace think so much of Zaha then why did they award their RB Wan-Bissaka their Players Player Of The Year Award? Zaha also has a hot head, in 34 prem games he played this past season he got 9 yellow cards and a red card, those totals you'd expect from a defensive midfielder not an attacking one! I think the ship has left on Zaha, most prem teams know what he's about. I'd rather we brought a player in from abroad at a fraction of the price, with an air of the unknown to their game.

For me he is a very good player and would be great for 40m

They need to spend big to get to where we are now and not all of those signings will pay off. We got 97 points. Is there anybody out there who is going to improve that by 5 points and get us to another CL final? I doubt it. I don't see us spending £100m plus just to keep pace with City. We are already doing that. All our signings under Klopp have been with the next 5 years in mind. We will get linked with every player available but 97 points and another CL final show there is not a lot missing. Actually what we have already is more than enough in normal circumstances. If there was one player that we would push the boat out to get it would possibly be De Ligt. We could take him to another level with VVD alongside him and Alisson behind him. He ticks most boxes. I see Keita and Ox challenging for places in the midfield next season with Henderson, Wijnaldum and Milner. Up front we need a replacement for Sturridge although we could use Shaqiri from off the bench.

The player who rotated with Firmino and sometimes Mane was Origi and at Sturridge at the beginning of the season. Origi has done good a few times but not sure if he is going to be consistent or is good enough

I agree De LIgt looks a quality player and I would like us to go for him, but I doubt Klopp will, he is big on not blocking the path of young players coming through, bringing De Ligt in would limit Gomez, who I think Klopp see's as VvD long term CB partner, also, Matip has played brilliantly second half of the season, so we have 4 quality CB (if you include Lovren!!!). I really hope we bring in a quality attacker, the margins are so close for the PL, that we need to have top quality to supplement the front 3 and be able to rotate/replace them without a big drop in quality.
