I'm not sure if Gerrard will actually go ahead and leave. At the end of the day I know he wants a league title, but can you imagine how devastated he would be if he left and we won the league?
I know winning the league seems to be a long way off with our current state of affairs, but I don't think our squad is that bad. With Roy Hodgson coming in, I think he'll put us back on the right track. We should be fighting for a top four finish at least this season, providing we don't lose any of our current players.
I've seen glimpses of class from Aqualani, he's had his first season with us and hopefully he will push on and up is game for this season.
There is more to come from Ryan Babel as well, we've seen some of his potential while he's been here, hopefully the new manager can get the best out of him.
I've not seen much of Jovanovich, but if he can form a partnership with Torres then we won't be doing too badly.
While we don't really know who else will come in, we could do with a few signings to strengthen the squad. A left back, left winger, and perhaps some cover up front and we'll be OK.
I don't know how much of a transfer kitty will be made available, or who will have left by the time the transfer window closes, but I'm trying to stay positive in what appears to be dark days for Liverpool Football Club.
I'd love some new regarding new owners but that may be some time away if the Royal Bank of Scotland extend the loan again.
I'm sorry for going a little off-topic with this post, but I feel we have to be postive about our current situation.
Here's to a successful season under Roy. Cheers.
