so about £100m for gerrard and torres??? We can build a good squad with that, together with money for getting rid of the dog poo.

Lets hope roy is good in the market and can attract some good players because with the crap we have at the moment, together with losing 2 of the best players in the world, we will be slugging it out with Blackpool next season!

Is it really all doom and gloom. Before Gerrard a lot of great players left Liverpool and they were replaced. Him leaving if he does will atleast shut all the one / two player teams critics up. Give us money to spend if at all.
But if you are not a rose tinted glass wearing Gerrard supporter he was not close to good last season. He seemed to sulk a lot and just gave up half the time. Him leaving might be a blessing in disguise it will definitely not mean the end of Liverpool.

I hope this really isnt true, but if it was it really isnt the end of the of our season.
As carragher has said anyone who doesn't want to be here can go. I am worried at the minute about how things might pan out over the next year but if torres, gerrard and mascherano were all to pack there bags and leave for over £120M and we did get a large proportion to spend, building the squad back up with players like parker & jenas to replace mascherano, ireland & van der vaart to replace gerrard and darren bent & carlton cole to replace torres and still giving t!t and tw@t money to pocket.
Undoubtedly we would loose three world class players but we could replace them with 6 quality, solid performers. I think we would still be left with a solid squad which would be able to compete within the premier league.

I'd say the issue is in the past we had money to replace class players when they reached a certain age or were past their best.

Now we are owned by a pair of parasites who need money to pay of the interest because of the massive debts we have to service.

I find it hard to be critical of Gerrard, he is aware of the state of the club.

If Torres stays I think we should put him up for sainthood!

Complain to RBS!

I'm not sure if Gerrard will actually go ahead and leave. At the end of the day I know he wants a league title, but can you imagine how devastated he would be if he left and we won the league?

I know winning the league seems to be a long way off with our current state of affairs, but I don't think our squad is that bad. With Roy Hodgson coming in, I think he'll put us back on the right track. We should be fighting for a top four finish at least this season, providing we don't lose any of our current players.

I've seen glimpses of class from Aqualani, he's had his first season with us and hopefully he will push on and up is game for this season.

There is more to come from Ryan Babel as well, we've seen some of his potential while he's been here, hopefully the new manager can get the best out of him.

I've not seen much of Jovanovich, but if he can form a partnership with Torres then we won't be doing too badly.

While we don't really know who else will come in, we could do with a few signings to strengthen the squad. A left back, left winger, and perhaps some cover up front and we'll be OK.

I don't know how much of a transfer kitty will be made available, or who will have left by the time the transfer window closes, but I'm trying to stay positive in what appears to be dark days for Liverpool Football Club.

I'd love some new regarding new owners but that may be some time away if the Royal Bank of Scotland extend the loan again.

I'm sorry for going a little off-topic with this post, but I feel we have to be postive about our current situation.

Here's to a successful season under Roy. Cheers.

not great news cause convincing nando to stay will be near impossible . then we really have a relegation type squad.
If he goes just have to get on with it. get mcgeady in with the money .

Lets be honest now Torres is gone if Gerrard is, he said he'll stay providing we bring in real quality, what do we do - sell our top players.

Replacing Torres with Cole is the answer if we wish to become a mid table side, which is what our squad is without Gerrard and Torres. Outraged if it happens as it means that Hicks will pocket probably 70% of it.

Unless Roy makes some huge strides in the transfer market a.k.a Eden Hazard, Alexis Sanchez, Edin Dzeko, Scott Parker to replace Mascherano. Then we're officially f*cked
