Interesting line up, so is Keita up front as part of the 3 or are we going with 2 upfront?
I thought we might bring in Gomez for TAA, seems a solid line up.

Dropping TAA for Gomez didn’t work. The first goal came from there.

Dropping TAA for Gomez didn’t work. The first goal came from there. It was a quality goal with a good cross, same could have happened with TAA, VvD should have been closer to Suarez, but he's a top player, Gomes would have learnt allot from this game. I'm surprised TAA didn't come on later, their French LB Langlet was pretty poor, TAA would have really had a go at him with Salah.

Have said it before and will say it again: Gomez is no fullback. He is terrible out there. Either we play him at cb or he is rested ffs! Last time he played there he broke his leg, and he didn't play better that time either! On top of that, both Matip and Allison played out through the right most of the game. Why? That clearly didn't work. Gomez lost possession all the time. Terrible team selection once again in a decisive game from Klopp! The extra defensive lineup that he always opts for in tough games never works. Man U away and City at home for example. Bottled it badly instead of trying to win those games. Tonight was another example. Salah, Milner and Mané missin chances for fun didn't help either, but we were not set up to win. We were set up not to lose in an away game in Europe. If Barcelona scores 1 at Anfield, we need 5! Oh well, we'll have to concentrate on the PL now instead, and hope for a miraculous City slip up coming out of nowhere, or it's yet another season without a trophy to add to the cabinet!

I agree with a lot of the VG. Have to be honest, that entire game turned my fckin stomach. It was so horribly reminiscent of that europa league final. Underperformed, caught in head lights, no second half, no plan B, forwards misfiring, not taking chances, toothless, "it's the taking part that counts", inferiority complex. Looking at Origi coming on brought home what a joke it is having him at the club. There were no positives by the end. We were no better than United. That disgusting trait of faltering in big games was back with a bang. Barca are ahead of us no doubt, but jesus, we were crushingly ordinary out there. It was a shiit box turn out from Klopp, i'd really hoped we were over all of that. Wish there wasnt a second leg. It will do nothing for us and could derail us for the last two games of the league. Confidence must be rattled in the team. Why the fck can we not turn up when it counts.
Luis Garcia, He drinks sangria He came from Barca, to bring us Joy He's five foot seven, he's football heaven please don't take my Luis away.

That will be the team that got beat at home without having a single shot on target. We caused them real problems and I thought Salah was absolutely brilliant all night. He was also unlucky. More possession, more corners, more shots on target and off target AWAY to Barcelona. And you call that ordinary? I don't think you will ever see a more fortunate 3-0 win especially that 2nd goal and the 3rd goal was just one of those brilliant brilliant moments from a very special player. We had a go tonight and if we have another go next week who knows what will happen?

we are not in barca's league. Their players have consistently delivered on the big stage when it mattered and today I thought you could see doubt in our players. Also personally I think pressing up high against Barca is pretty dangerous too in the past when we won it was mostly by defending deep and hitting them on the counter

We just don't have enough quality. I don't know why Frmino didn't start but if it is because he was unfit, then this was predictable with the number of games we had, we should have had better than Origi and Sturridge. Hope Klopp sees that instead of saying we don't need to buy. We did well with the team we had, not reinforcing will cost us...again.
