You'll just have to live with it then, I really like VAR though sometimes it takes a bit of time, but so does injuries. Injuries stop the game more than VAR in almost all games.

I think we are in a minority on this one chesterville but as Vish says we will have to put up with it. But I guarantee once we have had a few years of this we will see many arguments about VAR decisions and finding certain teams getting more decisions than others.

I can't understand how with VAR officials will be more prone to make mistakes on purpose, it's much easier to make mistakes knowingly or not, without VAR.

I just think that we already have too many stoppages. Ref's blow the whistle every time there is a challenge and a player is shouldered off the ball, or a player falls over. Now we are having "time-out" for VAR mostly for close-call offside decisions but the offside rule is supposed to advantage the attacker in such cases.

And why do the videos have to be studied by a panel anyway? Just throw the slo-mo replay up on the stadium screen immediately and let the ref decide straight up.

In my opinion.

Who can see properly on a stadium screen, especially with the ref probably 50m from it if not more. Yes the ref can look on a smaller screen on the sidelined as done for penalty decisions, but it will take even longer. Offsides is mathematical, actually pure geometry which is the best judged by technology. I saw Mane completely offside on his goal against Porto, so did the whole stadium and the whole world watching, only technology showed reality, thus fairness. Advantage the attacker doesn't mean anything ad it is subjective. I never liked it when goals were given on mistakes, especially offsides which can be so objective and always shown in replays, stopping the game is a small price to pay, it happens much less than injury stoppages or even replacements, I am very happy with it.

VAR is not perfect but it's still going to be a better solution to Referees spare of the moment decisions. As it's perfected the timing will reduce and as Vish alludes to, the play acting of injuries / time wasting and drawn out substitutions is more of a nuisance!

I just can't take the VAR VAR chanting. It cheapens the game and watching on TV it just makes me cringe. I pretty much dislike every aspect of it. The delays, the poor communication, the players asking for VAR. Looking at every goal before definitely allowing it is absolutely ridiculous.

It is far better to just not interfere with nature. It was all working quite well with the only acceptable technology being goal line decisions.

So what do you mean by some teams getting more decisions than others?

I never liked the blatant injustice and so many mistakes.
