Liverpool's home kit for next season has been leaked online and fans appear to be delighted with it.

The supposed new strip, which has not been confirmed yet, has been circling on social media.

Supporters of Jurgen Klopp's side think it resembles some of the classic kits when the Reds were very successful in the 1980s.

One person was very happy as they said: 'Love it. Just like our classic kits.'

Another person posted a picture of former Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish often nicknamed 'King Kenny' and said: 'Apart from the collar looks like a retro nod to the days when the king ruled the hallowed turf.

'Be good to get back to proper red and not the maroon shade we have seen in recent years.'

Liverpool's merchandise team will be happy with one reaction as they said: 'It's beautiful. I’ll order one ASAP.'

The Reds are two points clear at the top of the Premier League table having played a game more than second-placed Manchester city.

When a team wins the league, their kit is customised with a golden Premier League badge and one fan appears to be getting carried as they said: 'Would look sweet with a golden Prem badge on the arm.'

One of Liverpool's old sponsors Crown Paint used to be on their shirts and one person said the leaked kit reminds him of former Liverpool striker Ian Rush wearing that.

They said: 'I just see Ian Rush and crown paints.'

This is why NB should stay.

Nike or adidas will us 10 years of horrible generic, templated kits.

NB make us a new one each year and they're all better than anything previous.

The only reason we like adidas is nostalgia.

Nup. Sorry, but I think Nike & NB are boring as poop.

Adidas strips are dynamic and timeless. Nike and NB are limp and lack imagination and style.

But this season's NB strip is really striking though. Love it lots.

When I played for my school team I was on the right wing and we had a forward/striker who was very good had a few trials with some top clubs but in the end the 3 b's got him...birds, booze and betting. Anyhow whenever anybody set him up for a goal he'd run over to them and whip out one of his b.ollicks out of the then shorts of the era (more like swimming trunks than the shorts of today) and he'd say "Good Ball"! laugh
