Watched United and Barca last night and both Suarez and countinho looked a shadow of their former selves. Great business with hindsight Liverpool selling at the top of their price and replacing with general team building which has worked very well for us

hmmmmm Suarez hasn´t done too badly at Barca and how many cups has he won? Coutinho on the other hand has been a bit of failure so far.

So if we sell Van Dijk and Allison in the summer will that be great business too? I believe when a player is on top of his game we need to keep them until they are of no use to us anymore.

Suarez has been formidable for Barca but his peak is probably passed or about to, so it was no great business when he was sold, especially given that we bought Lallana and Balotelli with the money. You cannot look at Suarez now, do you follow football away from the EPL?

For Coutinho, you do have a case though and that was money well earned.

Suarez is still brilliant and is still producing the goods at Barca. He may ne past his prime but the hunger and the skill are still there. I never saw a player such as him where you knew he was going to score. Typically he would win the ball, run past a few players and hammer in a perfect strike.
Coutinho also deserves respect for his performances for us. But he is not of the quality Barca are used to.
I dont bear ill feelings for either of them leaving. And Louis would never be forgiven by the press for his bighting incidents so he had to get out of England.

Selling Suarez was not great business. If he was in our team now we would win the league.

Coutinho was good business as we used the money well. But we could still do with him now

Suarez was and still is a fantastic player.

Coutinho has for me struggles to live up to the price tag. Times I’ve watched them, not many granted, he’s looked out of his depth.

Suarez is 32, so he may be slowing down now, but he hit his peak in his last 2 years here, and he played most of his peak years in a Barca shirt. He was up there as the third best the world for a few years, and MSN was the most deadly front 3 in the world. Won the treble his first year there and was vital in that. Won everything but the cl the next year and was the top scorer. He had 40 goals that year. Barca got plenty of value for their money.

He's won a champions league, 3 league titles, 4 copa del rays, a supercopa espana, a fifa club world cup, and a uefa super cup since he went there, as a vital starter and arguably their second best player the whole time.

Coutinho hasn't quite settled there. He might never quite do that. We shall see.

I don't follow Spanish football so accept what you say about Suarez and he was awesome for us never seen a player before or since with his skill and workrate

But I was right about countinho so I got 50% correct and to be fair it was based on last nights game only
