Should be a good game tonight, hoping we can put this tie to bed in this fixture but any win will do (and hopefully a cleansheet)

Team I’d go with:

Alison
TAA
Matip
VVD
Milner
Hendo
Fabinho
Keita
Salah
Firmino
Mane

Other than Lovren I’m not sure we have many other players Klopp trusts that can come into the team (Wij if he’s not injured)

The team picks itself really, but given the upcoming games Klopp might Spring a surprise, except there isn't all that much room for experimentation given the risks inherent in this fixture. No room for complacency, we need to put this game to bed early and then conserve energy if that proves possible, which it very well mightn't.

It's always better to be a bit conservative in the away games in Europe.

We shouldn't be too adventurous with changing players tonight.

An offensive lineup is demanded at Anfield. Put it to bed and then play more defensive and rest some players in Portugal.

I like the new Henderson further forward and he's more vocal to boot...amazing what some competition for the Captaincy does.
Professional performance tonight, with the usual suspect knockers saying we got lucky! I'll not bother listening to the Talksport ballhang because it's the s*n newspaper in their echo chamber.

Sunday we have to start fast out the blocks and hit Chelsea who'll be fatigued after their trip to Prague on Thursday night and very little time to regroup for this game. Klopp must see this as the opportunity to let the shackles off and go after Chelsea because if we do I see us routing them!

Good to see City actually have a game on for their CL Quarter 2nd leg. Aguero having pen saved will also help in knocking his confidence to some extent, he was in a rich vein of form. I can see Palace at the weekend being not as straight forward for them with tonight's knock to their quadruple confidence.

Good win, clean sheet was important, I fancy us to get a goal over there.

I thought Lovren had a good game considering he's been out nearly 3 months, Marega looked a handful, I wouldn't mind seeing him playing for us, he was fast and powerful, Alisson did well with his save from him, used his feet abit like De Gea, there the big saves we paid the money for.

Good Keita got another goal, still can be abit sloppy with his passing, so he needs to sort that, but he's starting to look like the player we thought we were getting, good to have a goal threat from MF, we have missed that. Henderson did really well again, looks much better playing further forward, him & Fab seem to do well together, recently it's been 1 or the other, great to see them both together, Fab releases Hendo to go forward like he did in 2013/2014.

Milner did ok, amazing Moreno didn't even make the bench with our only LB out, shows you how far he has dropped out of the reckoning, so we will need a LB in the summer as backup for Robertson.

Mo was lucky not to get a red, nasty challenge, hopefully there will be no retrospective action, amazing VAR never picked it up after all the VAR stoppages, they seem obsessed with handballs!

Good result with City losing in the other QF, shows they are not invincible and the first decent test they have had in a month and they lose, so hopefully that will knock their confidence, especially with AGuero missing teh pen, burst his bubble and give Tottenham the confidence to do them in the PL.

We got a good result without having to ever get past 2nd (or 3rd) gear. The clean sheet was super important to get.

I had my heart in my mouth for the TAA handball incident. It didnt look intentional but I have no clue what he was thinking in that moment sticking his arm out like that. The Salah studs into the leg challenge looked a possible red too. other than that I dont think Porto looked too dangerous, we gave them a couple of half chances due to our own sloppiness but they didnt really look that dangerous.

What was Alison doing when he flapped the ball at Trent? And the Salah incident looked a dead-set red card. Mo must be frustrated with his form though. He is easily dispossessed and cant pass to save his life.
Playing wide on the right isn't helping him though.

Mane actually used to play right for Southampton so why the hell are we not swapping them around even for a brief spell in a game. I don't understand why Klopp doesn't try this.

Game was decent, nothing special but I thought we were lucky with some of the decisions.

Now to get the job completed for a juicy Semi final....

What sort of reception (if we qualify), will Suarez and Couts get at Anfield??
