CL it is then...pity because I was desperate for us to give our all for our 1st ever PL Title!
Guaranteed extra 4 games on our schedule because I can't see us losing to Porto, which effectively scuppers whatever chance we had at the PL. The one redeeming factor we had on City was the much lesser schedule.
F*ck that. Winners win. Getting knocked out would do more damage morale wise than a few more fixtures. We have a great chance to go to the semis again. Facing either United or Barca? Tasty indeed. Would have a point to prove against either. Would love to knock United out of Europe again for obvious reasons, and it would feel so good to stick it to Coutinho and Suarez. Imagine what Coutinho would think if we knocked them out.

I think being in the C L is healthy for us, as it creates a diversion from permanently focussing on the league, that releases a bit of tension and pressure. It also helps momentum and confidence, plus a sense of wellbeing, while competing at the very top of both of the most important competitions. That's like a tonic to the spirit, Pickles, embrace it enjoy it.

We have a decent history v Barcelona
Played 7 - Won 3 Drawn 2 Lost 2
Most recent:
06/08/16 ICC Liverpool 4 v 0 Barcelona
06/03/07 UCL Liverpool 0 v 1 Barcelona
21/02/07 UCL Barcelona 1 v 2 Liverpool
If we both get through which I think we will, Barcelona won't enjoy playing us.

I'd say our best chance now is CL and City would say PL & FA cup for them because I think Juventus will probably beat them over 2 legs.

Juve are the one team I don't want over two legs, so chuffed there. I think Barca are dangerous but can be got at, defensively. United we beat over two legs in the league this year, so would be looking forward to the next fixture if we go through, either way.
Porto are no mugs though. They will want revenge after we humiliated them last year.

We have a better chance to win CL than the title, CL is in our hands unlike the EPL. Last season we came 4th in the league but went to the final. CL is the best chance of winning a trophy this season and we had a good draw.

Shame last season doesn´t count but we have at least a good chance to go through. Does last season not count? I thought it did. I'm sure it counts in the heads of their players & fans, they will want some revenge, but will be very fearful to face us again.

However we might have Gomez and the Ox back which would help, though tbh I doubt if Klopp'll play either of them this season, as he likes to give returning players loads of time. However the 1st eleven aren't guide as knackered this season, what with Klopp's adjusted tactics, and early season rotation approach. I think he was working towards this situation all season, barring injuries I think our lads can handle the workload.
