For what its worth, I think Roy is a bloody good choice to bring a bit of calm and honour back to Anfield.
Understandably there is a lot of concern re our owners' intentions, but I think we also have to credit Roy with a bit of sense.
Is he really a yes man? If he really thought Gerrard, Torres and Mascherano were going to be sold and/or that he would have no budget, would he really agree to become our manager? Me thinks not.
I'm not saying Hicks and Gillett are anything other than $hitebags, but I think it is wrong to assume Roy will be in there simply content to oversee a mass firesale of players and not have any cash to spend...
Let's see... meanwhile - Welcome Roy, YNWA... Well said Anne.

I think we need a manager like Roy right now to steady the ship. We aren't in a position to make wholesale changes and i can see him getting the best out of exisiting players

I'll just be glad when it's all sorted. The waiting is doing my head in.

He gets a 1000% backing from me as would any manager. This will be our first British manager since Roy Evans & can only be a good thing in our pursuit of 20 years without a title. Forget about Europe & getting a foreign manager taking us there, lets concentrate on the bread & butter.
