If that's the case then i'm taking a break from football altogether. I can't support another team and i can't support this one when they appoint a manager purely because he'll do what they want to the detriment of the club.

it would be nice to get hangeland to beef up our defense.

For what its worth, I think Roy is a bloody good choice to bring a bit of calm and honour back to Anfield.

Understandably there is a lot of concern re our owners' intentions, but I think we also have to credit Roy with a bit of sense.

Is he really a yes man? If he really thought Gerrard, Torres and Mascherano were going to be sold and/or that he would have no budget, would he really agree to become our manager? Me thinks not.

I'm not saying Hicks and Gillett are anything other than $hitebags, but I think it is wrong to assume Roy will be in there simply content to oversee a mass firesale of players and not have any cash to spend...
