A bit of the old banana skin this one, however given the wise words of my trusty tea leaves, I'm not in the least worried, we could play the Anfield Cat and still win, it's written in the stars, even if it's a draw we win in in Anfield in the replay. I'm celebrating already...

Yes I would like Liverpool to win every game and every competition they enter but Unfortunetly the world is not like that and you have to prioritise. I bet city play the reserves today. I love the FA cup but it's no longer the competition it was I cannot name who won it last year without looking it up. I want to win against wolves if we lost so be it I won't lose sleep over it

Read that Ki-Jana Hoever might start in place of VVD.

Could be a great chance for Keita to build some confidence if Wolves put out a weakened side:

Mignolet

Youth team defence + Moreno

Jones—Fabinho—Keita

Shaqiri— Sturridge — Lallana

I’d expect that team to get beaten by a full strength Wolves, but we don’t have the depth to compete on 3 fronts, so need to prioritise.
That said, losing 2 on the bounce could look bad, it might be better to go strong and get back to winning ways

Interesting to note that City are playing at home and have put some big names in their teamsheet... currently winning 6-0. It'll be interesting to see which way we go now and, if our approach is different, whether either approach is deemed to have a positive ornegative impact on the rest of the season.

City has 2 big names for almost all positions except probably DM.

Yes. I just read a match report in more detail and realised that they'd made 8 changes and it still looked almost like a first team crazy. We can't compete with them in terms of the whole squad and none of us realistically expect us to do so I'm sure.

Oh well. I'm pleased with our efforts. We're doing the best we can in good style and spirits. Hopefully the footballing gods will be with us.

I don't care about this to be honest. Bin the fa cup. The league cup even the champions league.

Concentrate on keeping that 4point gap at the top.

We will never get a better chance.

Think if we are playing Moreno, Mignolet and perhaps a 16 yo in defence we are more less doing just that Mr. Bojangles. This season and at this time I totally accept losing tonight. Brighton game is what matters now.
