Uniteds ground has always been in a better location than ours. One thing I forgot to mention also is that it's on Salford quays home of BBC and media city and and kinds of action. Anfield has a chip shop by the arkles pub and in a very poor area of Liverpool
Night and day difference
When Everton get their stadium in will be in the heart of development and near to cruise liner terminal and god knows what.
It's far more than just the number of seats in any case even that the upper upper limit is 60k I think without moving streets of terraced houses what happens if it becomes the norm big clubs have 90k ? United are nearly there now
You can't just add 30k seats anywhere it has to gain planning permission and that means infrastructure roads and travel option and space. In the 80's & 90's Salford Quays was just old dockland, that was derelict and run down since the docks closed, I live in the area, Utd started developing Old Trafford in the early 90's, I remember when Fowler knocked Neville off the the ball to score at Old Toilet and there were workman behind the goal in half a built stand! United rebuilt at the right time, just before prices went through the roof. I don't get how a 60,000 stadium now costs around £1 Billion, but the Millenium stadium holds 75,000 and cost £120 million 20 years ago? it's a great stadium and has hosted some great finals as we know !

You can't just add 30k seats anywhere it has to gain planning permission and that means infrastructure roads and travel option and space. It’s only night and day as it doesn’t suit your argument. The fact is, Utd renovated an old stadium to one of the best in the world. Why no new stadium even back then? What do you know that their boards don’t? It doesn’t matter where Everton’s new stadium is or will be, if there’s a shitte team playing there no one will go. Why would they? Success on the pitch is what will attract crowds and with the mill stone of the stadium cost around their necks they’ll get little to none of that. It’ll be like building a cinema room in your house and putting a 14in black and white tv in it.

I wish I shared your confidence in Everton always being like they are Everton are building on the Liverpool watefront. Where do you suppose the action will be in liverpool city the waterfront or anfield area. And if in 15 years you were a multi billionaire consortium looking to up your profile would you choose to host your profile in the Liverpool waterfront or anfield with its drugs, gangs, shootings and run down area ? I kinda think it might be the former. Yes United renovated old Trafford but the ground has always been in acres of space in an area with great transport links it has its own train station in the 70,s. The area where old Trafford is night and day compared to anfield. Don't take my word for it have a drive down and have a look. As for city their ground environment is like united huge space and great transport links the fact city were gifted it is very true but it does not change the situation. In the medium term Everton too will be in that game. However you tell us they will always be mid table fodder I hope you are right !

We are talking about football not the streets, so the action will be where the better football is being played and where the game atmosphere is the best. No new stadium will be able to match Anfield. In any case, our new stadium was to be built in the same area as Anfield, in the park, isn't it? Is it not what PWC told you 20 years back?

Money matters in modern football and the location is important as are transport links. Yes the new stadium was to be built in Stanley park and that's not ideal but better than redeveloping anfield as it would have more space and the council were to be partners with a dedicated rail access. In my opinion redeveloping anfield will be more expensive if we are to get all the stands to the same standard as the main stand as not only would that be similar to a new stadium but no government funding and we would need to buy whole streets up. Building the main stand was a short term solution storing up the problems for the long term

I am sure FSG know what they are doing while you are just dreaming without having no facts in your hand.

FSG Know what they are doing alright. But whether that is for the good of them or the city and club of Liverpool FC is another question. And buying whole streets is not cheaper than brownfield ex industrial sites or council land where did you get that information from? There are huge planning, legal and social problems with buying privately housing assuming it's possible at all.

Are you saying you know what is more or less expensive than those running the club? Just as Timo Werner's age, you don't seem to know much, sorry to say.

I know quite a bit about Liverpool the city and the north west area and planning law and land prices. I am sure a lot more than you. Do I know more than those running the club ? Who knows ? Who cares ? I am entitled to express my opinion
