I'm too full of the festive good cheer, as well as being on a high due to my magnificent vantage point at the top of the heap to be drawn in to any debate on the vex't issue of stadia right now! Maybe later on I'd we should slip, perish the thought, but not yet, not yet!

How much did they pay and what's it worth now ? They are hardly subsidising anything. Yes they are great business people but for themselves not the club. They have hardly risked any capital everything has been self financing. We are doing great at the moment but long term in my opinion we will pay for our lack of modern stadium in the right location. However perhaps you are right and I am wrong I very much hope so What they've made on paper is irrelevant. It only counts when they sell, which they're not. So there is no short term gain from them at all. And long term we need success on the pitch. A new stadium will only hinder that as we'll have less funds to spend where it matters. To say not having a new stadium will hold us back long term is just wrong. Actually I dont really care how much FSG earned from us. As long as they are making wise decisions and moving the club forward, I think they deserve to take the rewards. FSG is business people and it is hard to ask them to do a football business for nothing. After a few years of learning, I think they did quite a decent job in moving us forward.

I agree with it as well assuming we are limiting our ambitions and happy to settle for what's available. I am highly ambitious for the club always have been since a kid but perhaps I am not settling with the new reality

Oh dear. Out comes the ‘ambition’. This has nothing to do with a lack of ambition. The club doesn’t need a new stadium that would cost close to a billion for zero payback. While we’re paying for it we’d most definitely pay on the pitch.

What's the new reality? Who wants to put almost a billion debt on the club

But all these assumptions are on the basis that FSG are the universe. They have proved to be stable owners i accept that but their capability and business plans for the club are limited. Maybe that's the new reality we don't have to like it. And finally having a new stadium and success on the field are not mutually exclusive almost every big club in the world has a top stadium. Hartlepool doesn't have a big stadium I don't see them winning many trophies

What short term payback are FSG after exactly? Everything goes ack into the club one way or another and they’ve been here for something like 8 years. Hardly seem short term to me. They’re also not wasting money on an unnecessary new stadium and instead trying to do what football is all about, winning things.

They might have been here 8 years but are not long term investing everything is short term payback which is great business sense but I an more concerned about the long term future of the club than henrys estate wealth

How many times has Arsenal won the EPL and CL since they moved to their new shiny stadium? How come our performance has been better than Arsenal for the past few years, despite having a new stadium? Why is Spurs not buying players? But you can carry on with your BS just in trying to prove your point.
